As you have probably gathered from our online posts and other pieces in this magazine, we attended EICMA 2025, just as we always do. We had a lot of fun. Just as we always do. We got to see really cool motorcycles. Just as we always do. But what was even better this time around was the presence of so many Indian manufacturers, of both motorcycles and all else that motorcycling entails.

It fills us with pride to see India represented on a global stage like EICMA by so many promising brands. And it is not just conventional ICE motorcycles either. India is also being represented by brands that uphold everything that motorcycles and motorcycling are all about while looking towards the future. We are talking about Ultraviolette.

It is staggering when you think about the strides Ultraviolette has made. It has been making waves not only in India but also around the world. The brand has gone truly global with its Space Stations all over the world. Yes, it is because they have worked towards this goal, but it is also because of the fantastic motorcycles they make. Motorcycles that we were itching to get our hands on again.

So, as soon as we flew back to India, we got the opportunity to experience Ultraviolette’s fantastic motorcycles over a long-ish ride from Delhi to Agra. Ultraviolette inaugurated a Space Station in the City of Taj a while ago. Now, they are organising a rider meetup to officially unveil the X-47 in Agra.

We were invited to join them, and we decided to make the most of this opportunity and scratch that itch for riding some Ultraviolettes. Dr Manan Chaturvedi, aka Shuttervedi, and Ankita Arora, aka HighHeesMotorcyclist, were joined by Shilpi Shukla from Ultraviolette’s Bengaluru HQ on this ride. The trio took two F77s and an X-47 for this 200+ km ride.

The ride was a breeze as the trio tore through the distance in a jiffy. As expected, the motorcycles performed flawlessly. We have ridden the F77 a fair few times and written a lot about it too. If you are interested, you can read about it at xBhp.com/machines. In a nutshell, the F77 is a fantastic motorcycle and holds itself really well against established ICE motorcycles in the price category and even beyond. Put simply, it is just about the best electric motorcycle you can get your hands on.

Well, the previous statement was a little incorrect because we also had the stellar X-47 with us. This motorcycle proves Ultraviolette’s commitment towards not only milking one good product but also to keep expanding their portfolio with diverse offerings. It was launched a little while back, and the first ride left us mighty impressed. It earned a glowing review from us, and just as with the F77, you can read about it on xBhp.com/machines.

Upon reaching Agra, the UV Space Station in the city prepared a warm welcome for us. The place was full of passionate riders, some of whom were already Ultraviolette owners. The X-47 was unveiled amidst much fanfare and a lot of genuine interest from the riders. To cater to that, UV Space Station in Agra also organised a test ride for people interested. And the general sentiment of all the riders who got to swing a leg over the X-47 was that it was a very capable motorcycle, and we agree.

So after an amazing ride, a cosy meetup, a good time well spent with the riders of Agra, and a customary visit to the Taj Mahal, it was time for us to head back. Even after having a blast on the highway on our way to Agra, we felt like we could not get enough of the motorcycling goodness that Ultraviolette has been sending our way. And since it wasn’t enough, there will be more. But that is a story for another day. Till then, ride safe, everyone.
