With the growing popularity of motorsports in India, we are seeing an increasing number of grassroots-level events that not only serve as a source of thrilling entertainment for enthusiasts but also help identify talent that might represent India in the future. We participated in an event just like that, not too long ago- the Turbo Drift Go-Karting League Season 1.
In addition to keeping an eye out for the prior build-up, we were duly present at the thrilling finale. Held at Panchgaon Manesar on the 25th of May 2025, the finale marked a historic moment for motorsports in Delhi/NCR in with xBhp attending as the official media partner.
In a word, this first edition of this one-of-a-kind go-karting league was nothing short of spectacular, bringing together adrenaline seekers and motorsport enthusiasts to showcase their racing skills, in addition to a large audience of motorsport fans, which is a testament to the growing popularity of go-karting in Delhi/NCR.
The league featured multiple heats of races filled with exciting action. From over 150+ aspiring racers, only 60 participants made it through to the final stage. They were divided into batches of 5, navigating through intense quarter-finals, semi-finals, and ultimately the grand finale, a knockout series that tested skill, focus, and endurance.
The highlight, though, was undoubtedly the finale, without a doubt. It was inaugurated by Mr Suyash Gupta, Founder of Turbo Drift, along with his dedicated team. In his address, Mr Gupta highlighted the unique features of the racing track and the specially designed Sodi Kart 10 (imported from France). Powered by a 7 bhp, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled Honda GX270 engine, the Sodi Kart 10 is one of the best in the business, delivering an authentic, high-performance racing experience for all competitors.
The winners of the league were Mr Vansh Chadha, who earned the first prize, followed by Mr Arnav Arora in second place and Mr Rachit Singhal in third. The league also presented secondary awards, including the best lap time, best flyboy, most improved driver, and an appropriately named award for being a smooth operator.
The winner, Mr Vansh Chadha, was awarded a brand-new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 along with a trophy and a copy of the xBhp Print Magazine. Mr Arnav Arora, the first runner up, was awarded an iPhone 15 Pro along with a trophy and a copy of the xBhp Print Magazine. The second runner up, Mr Rachit Singhal, got his hands on a premium music system along with a trophy and a copy of the xBhp Print Magazine.
The Turbo Drift Go-Karting League Season 1 was committed to providing an exciting and safe environment for drivers to showcase their skills, and it did just that. And with the buzz that season 1 generated, we cannot wait for the Turbo Drift Go-Karting League Season 1, which is bound to be even more thrilling!
