Ever since the launch of the very first Jupiter, TVS knew they had a winner on their hands. With the launch of the latest Jupiter 110, TVS is not only taking that legacy forward but cementing it as well, establishing it as one of the most sensible scooters in the class. We have had the new Jupiter 110 in the xBhp Garage for 6 months now, and we’d just like to say… it isn’t every day that a scooter surprises you, especially when you already have countless kilometres under your belt.
The new TVS Jupiter 110 did just that. After spending more than 6,000 kilometres with it in the last six months, including a roadtrip from Delhi to the mystical Kakanmath Temple and back, I can confidently say this: the Jupiter isn’t ‘just a scooter’ but a companion that is as ready for the long haul as it is for the daily grind.
Design & Build Quality
TVS has always played it safe with the Jupiter’s design. Why fix something that isn’t broken is well and good, but TVS has made some changes that make the new Jupiter 110 more premium than ever. Needless to say, this is the best iteration of the venerable Jupiter.
The body panels, fit-finish, and those subtle chrome accents add to its appeal. A lot of people might think that it is a scooter, and how much appeal it could have… the TVS Jupiter 110 is a pleasant surprise if you are one of those people. It looks pretty, well, pretty, and all the colourways are super nice, though I prefer the one you see here.
In addition to all that, the TVS Jupiter 110 is very sound in terms of functionality as well. The seat is very comfortable even over long distances, the storage capacity is deceptively big, and with all that, you can easily plan a multi-day roadtrip on it.
Engine & Performance
Clocking over 6,000 km gives you a real sense of what a vehicle is truly capable of. The actual experience on the road trumps any numbers you may see on paper. The first thing I’d like to mention is the refinement. The TVS Jupiter 110cc mill is smooth, silent, and it just keeps going on and on and on. So far, we have not encountered any issues whatsoever with it, which says a lot about the reliability as well.
It is punchy enough for the city with enough grunt for weaving through the traffic. That said, it does not run out of breath on highways either. The acceleration is linear, and you can maintain a decent clip at highway speeds all day long. I remember when I rode to Kakanmath from Delhi, I spent a lot of time on the highway. I could easily sustain 60-70 km/h without the engine feeling stressed.
The result of the third collaboration between xBhp and Axor, the iNineteen builds upon the qualities of the Axor Apex helmet augmented by stunning graphics and a beautiful message for the younger generation.
Even at those speeds over long distances, the engine remained refined. Moreover, the fuel efficiency remained impressive as well, at around 50-55 km/l. So, in terms of performance, the TVS Jupiter 110 is a sturdy companion for nearly everything you can throw at it.
Ride Comfort & Handling
In addition to the engine performance, the ride quality also makes the TVS Jupiter 110 stand out. The telescopic suspension is plush enough to absorb all but the biggest of potholes on the road. The 12” wheels offer stability at highway speeds.
During my ride to Kakanmath, it held steady on the highways, but what impressed me even more was the comfort over broken roads through some of the villages that I rode through. It makes 6-7 hour riding days feel like a breeze without the rider suffering any nagging aches or fatigue. The comfortable rider’s triangle also plays a part here.
I had no complaints in the handling department either. Through winding roads, straight highways, and broken roads, it holds its own. It inspires a lot of confidence thanks to the stability on offer, and so do the braking capabilities.
Features & Practicality
Another reason why long-term reviews are important is the appreciation for the little things. Little ease-of-life features that you grow to appreciate over a long time. The TVS Jupiter 110 has a lot of those, such as the external fuel filler (no need to open the seat every time), the bright LED headlamp, and the USB charging port that helped in keeping my phone charged (navigation can chew through the battery in no time. Also, the digital-analogue console is simple, informative, and easy to read on the move.
Delhi to Kakanmath Temple: The True Test
The real adventure and perhaps the defining chapter of this review was the roadtrip from Delhi to the ancient, mysterious Kakanmath Temple in Madhya Pradesh. Covering roughly 700 km round trip, with changing landscapes, unpredictable weather, and stretches with little to no support infrastructure, this was the ultimate test.
The Jupiter took it all in stride. The scooter never overheated, never stalled, and didn’t demand any special attention apart from routine refuelling. Notably, the brakes, front disc, and rear drum were progressive and reliable, especially on tricky, twisty village roads.
Visiting Kakanmath, a temple known for its supernatural engineering and legend, felt apt aboard a machine that blends everyday practicality with a touch of engineering magic of its own. It handled the adventure with a sense of dignity and grace.
Service Experience & Reliability
In 6 months, apart from regular service intervals, the Jupiter demanded nothing. No unexpected niggles, no breakdowns. TVS’s service network proved dependable with parts available, and each service left the scooter feeling as fresh as day one.
Final Verdict
So, after more than 6,000 km and 6 months, I can confidently say that the Jupiter 110 is a winner. It is one of the best, if not the best, in class. It looks pretty without screaming for attention, and the ease-of-life features make it a boon for daily commutes and long rides alike.
It works well in the city, it works well on open roads, and it just keeps doing well. It is reliable, comfortable, and brings with it the peace of mind you seek from any vehicle. Our ride to Kakanmath Temple is proof that sometimes, the greatest adventures don’t need the biggest machines, just the most dependable ones.
