The World Ducati Week is not only the biggest gathering of Ducatisti around the world, but also one of the biggest gatherings of motorcyclists in general. Ducati has been organising WDW for a while now, and it takes place in Italy, of course. While the Ducati community has grown by leaps and bounds over the years, not everyone can make it to the festival. For that, Ducati started We Ride As One. It is a localised gathering of Ducatisti all around the world. In essence, it is a single mega-gathering of hundreds of riders across multiple countries.

Being Ducati owners ourselves, we participated in Ducati We Ride As One last year. This year marks Ducati’s 100th anniversary, so there was no way we were going to miss it. That sentiment was also shared by many hundreds of Ducati owners across India. Ever since the first iteration of Ducati We Ride As One, the celebration has gotten progressively bigger.

Even in India, the Ducati community has grown to a considerable extent. Passionate motorcyclists are one reason, but another is Ducati’s portfolio. It offers something for everyone. And that growth is still going strong. We have a Streetfighter V4 S as part of the xBhp Garage, and xBhp Core Team member Ankita Arora owns a Ducati Monster 821, and we participated with both of these motorcycles last year.

This year, we spiced things up a bit. While Ankita rode her Monster 821 to the gathering, we also took our BMW M340i along for the ride. As an added honour, our car was selected as the safety car for the convoy that rode from Ducati NSA (North Star Automotive) to the Oberoi in Gurugram.

We thought the gathering last year was impressive, but this year eclipsed even that. More than 100 riders gathered for the fifth iteration of Ducati’s We Ride As One. And what a gathering it was. It was like Desmo-Mania. From the L-twins of the olden days to the modern Ducati V4s, the ride had everything! And since We Ride As One welcomes all kinds of riders and all kinds of Ducatis. We had everything: from the Monsters to the Streetfighters and from the Multistradas to the Panigales- it truly looked like the spectacle it is supposed to be.

While the ride was spectacular, the event at our destination was just as good. All the riders rode from Ducati NSA to The Oberoi in Gurugram. At the destination, we had an exclusive showcase of the spectacular Ducati 450 Desmo MX. The venue also had another special showcase: a Bentley Continental GT, an epitome of performance and luxury and a frontrunner in the GT motoring space.

With that, another iteration of Ducati We Ride As One was concluded. And if you remember the sequence of events from last year, you know that this piece is going to be followed by something even more special. For this one, we hope to get together with the proud owners of the stellar machines produced in Borgo Panigale again next year… for the next edition of We Ride As One.
