Yamaha MT-03, the naked version of Yamaha YZF-R3 will soon hit the Indian two-wheeler market as confirmed by the Japanese Two-Wheeler giant.
Yamaha has confirmed that the bike will be shown at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi and will be launched around second quarter of the year. The price of the Yamaha MT-03 is expected to be Rs30,000 to Rs 40,000 cheaper than its faired version YZF-R3 that costs Rs 3.25 lakh ex-showroom delhi.
Yamaha MT-03 is a street bikes based on Yamaha YZF-R3 which was launched in India recently. Yamaha might also alter the riding position slightly to better suit street riding dynamics and more conventional single piece wide handle bad for upright and comfortable riding posture.
Performance wise Yamaha MT-03 has the same 321cc, parallel twin, liquid cooled motor borrowed from faired sibling Yamaha YZF-R3. The MT-03 will weigh around 165kg.
