The Ducati Multistrada 1200 S and Multistrada 1200 Enduro are now officially part of the Carabinieri Corps’ fleet (a military force charged with police duties under the authority of both the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of the Interior, Italy) and debuted for the first time during the G7 summit at Taormina (Italy), scheduled for May 26 & 27.
The two Ducati models will strengthen the emergency and territorial control services of the operative squads in the biggest Italian cities, starting with Rome and Milan, and will begin operating in an event of global significance.
The Multistrada 1200 S and Multistrada 1200 Enduro have been specifically fitted for the purpose, and their liveries feature the Corps’ colors and logo. The production models are equipped with specific acoustic and visual devices, as well as vehicular radio, and were also modified to fit the Corps’ weaponry.
Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding says, “The Carabinieri Corps can now rely on the pinnacle of two-wheels, made-in-Italy technology within the dual touring segment. With 160 horsepower, the Multistrada is an exceptional vehicle that combines performance, comfort, rideability, and loading capacity. I’m sure that Ducati’s typical sporting character, combined with the quality and reliability of our Brand, offer the perfect mix to serve the purpose at hand.”
Looks good? How many would want to buy the Multistrada with this paint scheme!
