A special off-roading session was held in the weekend by The Bikerni Bengaluru. A group of 14 women riders learned and explored off-roading and motocross techniques from the National champion, Sanjay Kumar.
The Tribal Adventure Park is maintained and designed by Sanjay himself, who has a team of experts who provided us with one of the best experiences our lives. The session improved the skills and boosted the confidence of the women riders to a great extent. The school also provides training up to an expert level.
The session started at 8:30 am in the morning and went on till 6:00 pm in the evening. The initial session was a briefing teaching the girls basic techniques and dos and don’ts of riding on the dirt. The body posture plus the various angle and weight displacements during the right and left corners were explained intricately. The first circuit was an endurance trail with tight corners and a few jumps which really set the pace for the next two set of sessions.
The overall enthusiasm was just explicit and the women riders loved the entire experience. In the end, the girls were left wanting for more. Though tired, bruised and covered in dirt, our hearts wanted to ride on the trails again. Irrespective of any major off-road experience in the past, all the girls took part in the endurance and technical circuit with unmatched enthusiasm. At the end of the session, we were left with satisfied smiles on our faces.
