Yes, N250 & KTM 200 gets premium service at PBK as they have dedicated Sr engineer from Bajaj & Sr mechanic from dealer catering to them.
My bad. Here in Pune, the KTM Store is different(only sell bikes) and they directed my friend(have bought a KTM200) to a different place (KTM Service) for servicing, where I saw other Pulsars also being parked for servicing. So looks like, they have different servicing bay/area, at least in Pune.

Thats the reason I thought they might have outsourced the tech and so might be paying royalty for it. That also explained the higher difference than the other Carb / Fi twins. So it seems their secret is something else.
Just like Endurance & other makes suspension for bike makers. Brembo & other makes brakes. Minda & other make switch gears, etc. Doesn't mean company using those parts pay any "royalty" to them. They are the component suppliers and make stuff as per the requirements/specs of the manufactures.

The reason for low cost, also could be that with carb in place, Bajaj would have projected a higher sales number and hence could use more volumes concept to make more profit overall? But then this is just a thought, only way to get the correct answer is to catch hold of some Bajaj official and ask.

Before replacing the injectors, you will get them cleaned at service centers.
Exact numbers, someone who has gone it done will be able to tell. A friend of mine replaced the injectors in his car at over a lakh km's.

I'll say, unless Bajaj releases any official statement about the price, its all rumors. Even dealers who are taking the bookings, they might not be sure of the price, what they are doing is just taking advantage of people who are willing to hand them cash on the name of booking. This cash, the dealer can use until the bike's price is officially announced and booking officially starts.

    • any thing over 95000/- rs will definitely hurt its sales.....as pricing near to 1 lac will make people more inclined towards r15 and upcoming cbr15o.....these two bikes will attract poser and fairing hungry janta....but according me p200 above cbr150 and r15 as far as practicality is concerned....

First u said that P200NS comes at 87K OTR. If some innocent people out here (read: barring Enthusiastic & many others) believed and had so much reason to cheer up would be dishartened abit on knowing that the actual price is actually around 1Lac OTR (just assumption)

Xbhp is a quite famous one and P200NS is a very highly speculated bike not only in India but in many countries (like South East Asian, South American etc.) You won't believe me but I have read your this comments in many international forums and there have been new threads spawned owing to ur comment. Complete Bull Shit.
Lol you make it sound as if it was intentional. I told you how it went... I would have corrected myself later, I was even checking the forums regularly and didn't really find anyone talking about the 87k thing, so I thought that well maybe noone even noticed. If I saw someone still talking about it, I would have corrected the statement. And anyhow, we still dont know the actually price of the bike so the rumor still might come true

P.s. Your line about innocent people really made me laugh. Although I can't figure out if you were serious.. haha

So the P200NS is definitely not a common man's bike. In India a common mans bike is wats <=150cc (probably 100cc) and priced low and not much performance fig and good mileage. Yes it will quench the performance thirst of many performance thirsty people in our country giving good FE as an additional bonus. And 200cc is not a small engine by any Indian biking stds. And the technologies implied justify its price even if it was little above 1Lac for anyone... also considering competition's prices and the rising costs.
You are taking it wrong. By common man I don't mean the "middle class average earning guy who rides a 100cc" (lol). I am referring to those who are passionate about bikes, or just seem to have the money for them but arn't that much into finding whats under the hood. I guess "casual buyers" might be more apt. word to what I am talking about. Don't waste your energy explaining it to me, I already know.. explain it to them

And lol.. sorry about the ignorance.. I am not really that into bikes so I didn't know. I guess you are allowed to not know something and ask about it right?

The sales guy said it should be around rs.1,03,000. that were even prep'in EMI at that price but even he wasn't that sure about the price. I think he was just trying to push me to get a duke. :P

But anyhow, do you guys really think that the regular Indian who doesn't visit forums or is not aware of how drastic the changes are under the hood will be willing to pay that much price premium? I mean if I am a common man and I see the new pulsar 200 being 30k more than the previous one, I probably wouldn't buy it unless it has faring or any other killer feature. It's still 200 cc. That's all what a common man will think.

To a common man, 1lac to too much to ask for a "pulsar 200". Maybe 90k max but not more than that.

          Lol. May I know why?
I remember when you posted about the 87k price some time back, i asked you for proof and you started talking all kinds of bull shit, i knew back then... that you were just talking bull shit to grab some attention... and guess what you just got it

And BTW, you mentioned "Friend booked it for 87k OTR, i have seen the booking slip too"
Where did the booking slip go?
Now you are saying that your brother told you that his friend booked it for that price!!!

LOL. What am I going to do with the attention? I barely even post! Hah!

And the booking slip was yes seen by my brother and according to him it was for the new pulsar 200 only. I rechecked with him multiple times. I guess he was confused too.

If I was just trolling, I wouldn't even be explaining myself you know.

Huh, Holi gone. March 10th almost gone.
Still no official wordings from BAJAJ.
                  Height of waiting game.!!!

From my point of view, Bookings should start from Mid of March, IF BAL want to deliver the product by mid of April!!!!

                  • Edgar moves back..

Edgar Heinrich, VP Product design, the man behind NS200 has resigned and moved back to BMW. Would that mean BMW would now launch NS200 in India as Bajaj does not seem in any hurry to do so.

                      • According to the dealer here (Jaikrishna Autos) Booking will start in april mid and deliveries in april end-may start. No idea how far it is true, but its a long time to wait.

And please stop blaming Redlag for the unintentional hoax that he started
If official booking had started somewhere, in no time hundreds would have been reporting the same and not just one person.

Regarding the pricing, i think it would be around 90-95. Anything less than that would look underpriced and affect the sales of lower models (and even higher ones).
Plus they must have invested heavily in R&D which they should be planning to recover.
But if On Road goes anything above 100K people would think twice before buying . 99 Trick works very well in the market, so they may just restrict the price to not cross 100K.

                        • A little off topic.. It is heard that the pulsar180 is going to be discontinued soon by bajaj, and the pulsar150 is all set for an upgrade(source:Bike Advice). Can anyone throw some light on this? Will this be a complete overhaul for the p150? Or am i just texting in the wrong thread?

There has been enough Bakwass Speculations on various topics on many desi BLOGS.

I too think that its a rumour and just a speculation. But on the other hand theres not much point in separatng bikes by only 20cc. When new P150 comes. It would have the power to cover the 150-180cc segment. 200cc is powerful enough to cover 200-270cc bikes. not much need for a 180cc bike. Its good but not much needed. In my opinion they have P135 which covers 125cc-160cc bikes. So why to have so many pulsars separated by 20-20ccs? A P250cc would have been a good option. A P350 will create a small vaccum in between.
                              Whats there in a signature?

Yes I agree my 220 gives 39 KMPL in Pune city riding conditions. I checked this precisely for first 5000kms after 5K it settled at 40KMPL.
