  • Operation finally over

Saw Times Now and NDTV. They do say that the operation is finally over and combing operations are still on. But the lives, money, prestige, name and what not - lost is lost....

P.S : Hope u guys heard about the plight of the rabbi couple and their only 2-yr old kid at Nariman house. Too sad!!!

      • Hello

There is no word to describe the Bravery been shown by the NSG, Marine Commandos, Mumbai Police Officers & other common people in these terrible attacks in Mumbai. My eyes went numb when I saw, listened to the stories of those who have lost lives, their relatives.
Rightly said by some section of the media that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
My views, all links , cooperation acts with Pak should be severed. India along with International community should take serious actions against Pakistan or atleast in the areas where Militants are having their ball.
Immediate strikes on PoK should be undertaken. These are External steps.

Then there are hell lot of Internal steps to be undertaken so that we should always identify ourselves as Indian First & then Hindu, Muslims, Assamese, Bengali & so on. We lack this attitude.

I am just proposing that if Delhi XBHPians can meet up & ride to India Gate & offer some flowers & observe a 2 minute silence there, it would be great. Any other suggestions from you guys would wonderful.

This is the least we can do.

          • The battle is finally over.
The 106 year old Taj has been structurally weakened on the 4th and the 6th floors.

Like Mumbai has done so in the past, life will go on. i only hope that this incident begets some positive changes in the lax adminstration and policing of our country.
I salute the bravery of all the soldiers who fought for our country during these difficult 60 odd hours of terror..

            Jai Hind..!!!

yeah our soldiers did a splendid job by killing them but it took them more than 60 hours to kill 20 terrorist which a surprising for everyone outta here ..
NSG MARCOS are the elite commandos in our country and their death is really painful for our country..
and i would like to correct here that the techniques used here were not upto the mark and the forces were not really prepared for this task
and thats why it took so long to accomplish this job
and yeah now the taj and the trident will need a total makeover which they will get from insurance i presum anyways and now what can i see is that there are more dead bodies coming out of the taj and already more than 125 people ahve lost thier life in this

and yesterday when i saw army deploying grenade launcher i was shocked that how can army can use that
if there were innocent people in those rooms then who will tak the responsiblity and yeah they are used to the situation in kashmir which is totally differnt from here....

Well, dude....would like to say here that the MAIN reason behind such a long time lasting of this operation is that those terrorists had kept hostages with them....!! So, the NSG or MARCOS were not able to do anything much just to play safe and keep defending....otherwise, if the hostages would not have been captured then within no time these commondos would have ran down those terrorists....

i want to correct you my friend
yesterday all the hostages were taken out of the taj before the deployment of the grenade launcher by the army

there was no hostage situation yesterday!!

i just wanted to put up how weak our security forces are..

Why do you speculate? If you know nothing, then please shut up! they gave their blood to save ur brothers and u try to make stories here and try to find faults, when you dont know the ground reality.

None of us know what happened inside, the NSG are trained commandos, they know he best to deal with the situation... How and why should comment when you dont have any intention to help them in anyway.

Now you only are saying that yesterday grenade launcher was deployed....and by the late nite everyhting was under control...so, just compare that once all the hostages were rescued it took just took some hours to take the situation under control....

And on the other hand, all this while(since the incpetion of this strike) the hostages were kept by the terrorists...so it took the army/commondos so much time...!!

And, how can you say that the "security forces are weak" ... !!??
Security forces could have bombed/fired down all the terrorists at the first instance only....but to save innocent lives of ppl trapped there....they had to carry out the operation very carefully which lasted 3 days(to be precise 60 hrs)...!!!

Hope i was very much able to clear off your doubt.

Firstly, dealing with a hostage situation is not a walk in the park in the way that you are putting it to be.Your outlook on this situation is more inspired from Hollywood movies and games than from real life incidents.
People can die if the special forces do an arnie.
Hostage rescue involves a lot of intelligence gathering, involving the location of the terrorist and their movement.
You think 60hrs isn't good enough? The Iranian Embassy siege took 5 days to end when the SAS finally made a breach and killed the 5 terrorists.
Do you know the SAS had worked so much on gathering the intelligence that they knew which way all the doors opened.
In a situation in which every second and decision count, info like these help to save the day.

Edit: And in case you dont know, the grenade launcher is also used to project tear gas and phosphorus grenade.

If the security forces are really as weak as you think they are, then kindly do enlighten them on how they should go about their business, otherwise, feel free to take up a gun... and stand a post.
