A personally tested GPS Mobile I can vouch strongly for GPS, is my own Nokia N8. I used it on a trip inside my dad's cage, and it was working accurately inside the car itself, with free navigation. I used Google Maps, and No maps download was needed!

Without it, We would have lost our way inside Sikar. But, it helped us a lot.

My only gripe was that it consumed serious battery, it lasted about 12 hrs only on the charge.

Im using Motorola Ming A1200. The touch screen is fine for me and multitasking was enabled. only disadvantage is i've to change the flexi cable for repeatedly.

Now im going to purchase Motorola XT5.

@Blumarine005: in my knowledge Motorola XT5 is fine for you. it costs around 14K.

The ace is costing around 15600 in the mobile store

Try LG optimus or galaxy 3. Have been using the galaxy 5 for almost 5 months for now & it is a very rugged phone i must admit. Thrown it for nearly 6 times on the floor and once on the road. Still the phone is working without any problem. Just a few scratches here and there.

                    • I am looking for an Android.

Been using Xperia X10 for almost an year, but had to give it off to my wifey as it was her phone.

So I am looking for another one. I have been loyal follower to Sony Ericcson since its T105 till Xperia X10.

Now, I have options of Samsung Galaxy S2, Sony Ericcson Xperia Play/Arc and LG Optimus 2 in the range of phones I am looking for.

LG was never of my taste, so I am ignoring Optimus here.

And the confusion is between Galaxy S2 and Xperia Play.

True, that specification wise S2 is way ahead of SE XP, but I am not sure If I will be using the S2 to its full potential of its hardware. Being extremely satisfied Xperia X10 user my heart vouces for it.

                      Samsung Galaxy S2:

                      Pros:
Excellent specs, Dual core & GB+ ram.
Slim when compared to SE XP.
S-AMOLED Screen, though this isnt a deciding factor for me.

                      Cons:
                      Plastic body

                      Sony Ericcson Xperia play:
                      Pros:
Games Games and Games, one of the main nessicity for me.
                      Gorgeous looking.

                      Cons:
                      Specs OK compared to S2
                      Appears to be bulky.

My brain says S2 where as heart says XP. Prices of both the phones are same here in london.

Performance wise, S2 must be ahead. But do we really use to its hardware potential?

I earlier has Xperia ARC in consideration, but Carphonewarehouse here is kept them on hold as SE is resolving some camera related issues, and they are not aware when they will be available again.

15k for ACE is too much for me!No interest in LG phones I am testing galaxy 551 for the moment, its awesome, although sometimes therz negligible lag the phone performance is excellent, in addition HSPDA 7.2 mbps QWERTY are a plus.
On the other hand Galaxy 3 almost has the same specs except for the 3g HSPDA and no QWERTY... How is the performance of G3? better than g551? I was told that g3 outperforms G551..also battery backup i get on G551 is problematic, i get around 6~7 hrs, what bout g3 ?

If you were to choose between G3 and G551, your choice would be what?

I am using the G5 so i have the least idea about the G3. But while buying the G5 (at the mobile store only) the shopkeeper showed me that this phone was the best i can get in my budget. The G3 has edge like bigger battery, bigger screen etc. But my requirement was only messaging and entertainment. Seriously the G5 satisfies all my needs without any hiccups. & yeah the G3 does outperform the G5 but this comes at a premium . The performance lag is caused by the smaller proccesor (some 600Mhz).

The G5 offers me a battery backup of some 3 days with constant messaging and music playback. IMO the G5 is enough for an average user & should satisfy the needs of a normal student.

I use a Galaxy 551. Yeah battery is a problem at a paltry 1200mAh. Other than that the performance is upto my expectation...QWERTY is quite easy to use, works beautifully in wifi nd edge...didn't try 3g yet ...I chose this as I browse a lot and hence the qwerty was imperative...needed froyo & A-GPS. Music & camera quality's decent. 667mhz processor is just about enough powered by 256mb RAM...make sure u clear the memory once done browsing...rest the fone has been upto my expectations so far.... *touchwood*

                                Best of luck!!!

P.S : For better battery backup I switch off wifi, edge, background data etc when not in use
