        Sony Z2 price- 50-55k,
        Z1- 36k
Almost same performance. Z2's chipset S801 is a slightly tweaked version of the S800 found on Z1 & G2 apart from having slightly improved battery performance. & Sony's service will be better than LG G2 wich has a not-so-gud service in India.

Sony Z1 or Z2 are both vry vry gud fones. The best u can say !!

Make sure it has snapdragon processor...

I will suggest s4 as the lg brothers have week screen, i mean to say they break very easily...

Also, G2's a battery king. Vry efficient LG stamina mode. But, then again Sammy's support is better than G2.

If u need a phablet, nothing can beat the Sammy Note 3.

Guys, with a great difficulty I had finally made up my mind to purchase an Android phone, and leave my Symbian OS based Nokia 808 Pureview, in the closet. But in hope of a future proof permanent phone, my search landed me with 2 phones....

Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z2. I felt both had satisfactory cameras and good music quality, so I might get them, although I'm least interested in the OS part of it.

But I'm seeing a disturbing trend in the market: Both S5 and Z2's Indian versions have NO 4G LTE support, that their international versions have, and even Rs. 20,000 phones have. Yes, both Sony & Samsung made multiple versions of their flagships, but left 4G LTE out of the Indian version....

As we know, 4G will be faster and most probably cheaper than 3G, making it a clear win situation for everyone who's using 3G right now.

And Indian crowd is not stupid. See how they blasted Samsung on Flipkart's page and sent the prices crashing by 20+% in just a month: Samsung Galaxy S5 Price in India - Buy Samsung Galaxy S5 Charcoal Black 16 GB Online - Samsung: Flipkart.com

So my question is, why are both Sony & Samsung not giving us the real deal? Suppose I'm ready in purchasing the international versions of these phones for say, Rs. 5000 extra, why would Sony & Samsung not agree to it?? Is it planned obsolescence they're thinking about?

The phones not only have differences in connectivity options, but, have different hardware from the international version. S5 that is sold internationally, for example has a Snapdragon 801 processor while the Indian version gets Exynos processor (made by Samsung). Although comparisons between the Indian and International version are still awaited, I think that Snapdragon is way faster than Exynos.
Better take a look at Note3.

Also consider Nexus 5 too. The camera doesn't compare to S5 or Xperia, but is decent enough.

Oops just realized that Note3 Indian version have Exynos as well. See Exynos only supports HSPA+, hence, no 4G and it wont be as snappy as its International variant.

Brother, let me pen down my mobile buying experience.

TO give you a short background, I had a BB, company sponsored, and an old Samsung phone (which ran on Adroid 2.2 something). One fine day I was asked to surrender the BB and buy my own phone that can support my outlook. At first, I set a budget of 20k and started comparing phones. Processors, RAMs, Cameras. And I was new to all this because I never kept myself updated with the smartphone scene. After a few weeks, I got to know the best selling models and whenever I shortlisted a phone, friends used to say - spend extra 3- 4k and you'll get a phone with better specs. Now budget was increased to 25k. Then launched Moto G, which gave other smartphones (around 20-22k range) a run for the money. Now Moto G was a flipkart exclusive launch and it sold out in minutes and had to wait extra 2 weeks for FK to stock it. Again sold out within minutes and I was getting frustrated.

Had to chuck the idea of Moto G due to non-availability & urgency. Then my brother suggested Nexus 5, which he uses, and told it the best specced-smartphone within 30k. I was still hesitant on spending 30k and somehow I was not agreeing to it. Again I went back to my original choices in 20k range and again the damn comparison of Camera MPs, Processors and Gaming capabilities. By now i was seriously fed up and just wanted a damn phone which receives/makes calls, can deal with WhatsApp and has a Android 4+ OS ( to support my outlook).

Finally, someone gave me an honest advise. In order to be futureproof, the phone had to have 2 GB Ram and the guy actually showed me why higher RAM was more important than a processor/camera/bullshit. After a fruitful conversation, I concluded the following

                  - Firstly, rather than defining the budget, thoughtfully define your usage. Are you going to game extensively? Are you going to use shit-loads of Apps, especially the one which you use for a day or two and then they accumulate in your memory? Does your job make you talk more than 5- 6 hours on the phone? Are you going to use your camera extensively?
                  - Second, I assume you already have a camera. It may be a point and shoot or a DSLR. I understand that we do not carry our cameras everyday but you do carry it on vacations/special occasions/bike rides etc. An 8 MP phone camera is sufficient for Selifes/Group selfies/ food/ and random FB uploads. An 8 mp cam does satisfactorily well in those areas. If you already have PnS/DSLR cam, in my opinion, it would not be prudent to spend on a hefty phone cam.

After I introspection, I removed all the hefty camera phones from my list as i have PnS. That actually made my list shorter. I decided that I wanted 4G LTE and Android 4.4. 2 GB Ram was now a must. It all trickled down to Nexus 5 and after looking at the phone I increased by my budget. Actually, I just wanted to get rid of the which-smartphone-to-buy confusion and get a phone once and for all. When I actually set out to buy Nexus 5, no major electronics store has the 16 gb version in stock. Since I knew what I was going to buy I was at peace. Waited for the new stock and got a piece after 2 weeks.

Phew! Apologies for the long post. Hope you get a thing or two out of it.

Guys, it's not just processor, it's SoC (System on Chip) like we do our desktop configuration.

Guys looking for phones under 30k budget, you can look at MotoX, using it and loving it.

The screen is super amoled.Means you get superb contrast ratios. And saves battery! (The amoled screens don't use power for displaying blacks. So the display is basically switched off in all black areas)

The touch less control and the active display have the whole android community going gaga over it. Read the online reviews. It actually does understand things pretty accurately and trust me guys I've stopped dialling people, setting alarms, setting memos, searching on the web manually. All you need is to ask google now!

The camera is not bad but isn't that great either but as mentioned few posts before it will get you through everyday clicks, if you want something more, buying a camera would be more prudent.

It packs 2 gigs of ram, enough to handle anything thrown at it. Multitasking is a breeze.

The GPU is a quad core Adreno320 chip. It handles every game I've tried on it, completely lag free, and I consider myself as a heavy gamer.

The phone supports 4G LTE for all those looking for that.

The design of the phone is such that it's very easy and comfortable to hold in your hand. I know this hardly sounds like something you'd care about but once you hold the device you'll know what I'm talking about.

The charger is 1150 mA and charges the phone from 0 to 100 in a little less than 2 hrs. Pretty quick.

The speaker is loud! And has really good sound. While using earphones you can't keep the volume at full.Yes, it's that loud! Superb sound quality. The built in audio effects are great.

Enough of the praises, now for some cons:

The phone heats up occasionally with heavy usage while it's on charge. This had happened twice. I had 3G on too. But this is true for any mobile nowadays because of so many things packed into such a small device with no actual cooling mechanism. My advice, don't put a back cover. P.S- I have one :P

There's no SD card expansion slot. You get 16 gigs out of which 12 is usable.
The silver lining? The phone supports OTG meaning you can connect pen drives to the phone!

Actually on paper the thing are different & in reality its totally different.
See galaxy s3 Indian version is far superior in terms of quality & battery backup (though I have a at&t s3)

Same with s4 ,Indian version is too fast with a custom ROM than any international version (have a Rogers s4)

But main disadvantage is 4G connectivity :banghead:

The chipset is MSM 8960. The specs state that it LTE. No support in India can't say for sure. I haven't used the GPS extensively but from how much I have it works good, tracks as good or as bad as other the phones.
P.S- the mobile network selection tab shows an option for 4G, not sure if that curtails LTE or not.

We don't get proper 3G connectivity and you guys are talking about having 4G :|

And for people wanting super fast speeds, Nvidia has revealed their new chipset K1 (i hope its the correct name) and the benchmark scores are way higher than the latest snapdragon 801.

Btw, for normal day to day use, even a quad core snapdragon 400 does the job really good. No lagging for normal usage. Faster and better possessors are needed for high-end gaming.

                              Ride safe and have fun.
