In terms of quality, the M8 is miles ahead. The only drawback is that it's almost a year old now.
The nexus 6 is a moto X with a bigger screen (and the nexus branding)

I suggest you wait a few (2-3) months if you can and check out the S6 and the HTC Hima (M8 successor).

If you can't wait you can go for Nexus if you want stock Lollipop+good camera, or HTC One M8 if you want a solid built phone and don't mind the average camera. Good luck buddy!

I have little or no knowledge of mobile phones I need help /advice

I have a Sony Xperia P with latest software.The problem is that after the latest update the auto rotate function is not available as well as the earphones dont get detected.I have to restrt the phone everytime to use the earphone.
How do i go back to the previous version of the software????
I am not interested in buying a new phone,I use phone only for call in call out and for capturing pictures

Ya i wil wait for some phones to come.
And one more thing i am facing a wiered problem. My friend nowadays get a call from me even if i dont call her. There no record in the dailled list, but she get a miss call from my number continuosly for 4 to 5 times. Today she was playing game on my phone n den we saw protesh calling on her mobile whereas i had not called.

What phones do you and your friend use?

It might be related to your SIM card or Wireless Carrier.

I use iphone 4s and she use xperia e and both using vodaphone. I went to voda store they told its an issue with my phone but m nt convinced . Why only with one number. Its like phone is ringing on her phone but nothing on my phone.

Delete her from your contact list, both local and email-account. Then let's see which number it dials.

auto rotate function should be available under display settings.. never seen a phone which does not have auto rotate..

do a factory reset of your phone if earphones don't get recognized. see if that works.. if not then revert back to previous version. you will have to do it manually from pc. first you will have to download factory images of previous version...and in sony phones updating/downgrading phone manually from pc is a pain in the @ss.. if you have knowledge of the process, go ahead..
or else go to the nearest customer care.

Try what Freak InExile told you. If the problem still persists, accept the call and see what happens.

Tell your friend if it's not too much of a hassle to try and Factory Reset her device to see if it works.

Also sometimes they contacts are backed up in googles server, maybe that's the cause but I can't say 100%.

Want a help so posting in this eection. Want a tablet for around 15 k . considering options like dell asus or any other. I want wi fi bluetooth n dual sim connectivity. Viewing angles of the phone must be good . Average processor n storage inbuilt . i was considering new dell venue. But heard that calling feature is available only via loudspeaker is it? Suggestions are always welcome. Thank you.

A short review of Xiaomi (Mi) Piston 2 in ear earphones.
So i am writing my first review of my life on a biking forum. Please do not kill me.
Xiaomi Mi in ear earphones are the bang for the buck. I have a Xiaomi Redmi 1s phone . Got two phones at the price of one. thats another story. I got these earphones two months back. The packaging of these earphones is superb. A strong plastic box , inside it are the earphones on a rubber holder. The rubber earphone holder smells of chocolate. Underneath the rubber headphones are 3 earpieces / buds for various sizes and a steel clip for tucking the wire with your shirt. The outer packaging has the printed price at the rear with the make and model number. The MRP of the product is 999 but you can get them for 799 at Flipkart. Go for any other website and the price will shock you. Some even sell fake ones. So get it from Flipkart if you choose to. Open the front packaging inside the packaging are instructions. (Clever of them saving paper like this) . you can pair these earphones with any android phone and even an iphone. But there is a catch in it if you use it on a iphone. The buttons won't work. Now coming back to the earphones. It is made of kevlar braided wires. So it does not entangle. You have a carrycase too whih i talked about earlier. Rubber ones so that you can carry the earphones with you easily. Now the clarity of sund the bass ,treble , noise cancellation all in all is superb. Mind you won't hear anything outside if you listen to music with these. Works best on xiaomi phones as xiaomi has different earphone or headphones settings for different types of headphones. A good deal for you if you want a good earphone for a reasonable price. Currently listening to Coldplay Paradise. Loving it. Whoever i handed this earphones for a quick listening said wow. Don't know where to post this. I am using ulysse speedometer app.It is a very good app with all the functions we can think of. The best feature according to me is the tracks feature where the whole route we have taken is displayed.plus you do not need internet to use it.Do give it a try.
