well... i've used my friends 3Gs side by side with my 3G... and i must say... the 3Gs is almost more than twice as fast.

apps on the 3Gs load virtually "instantly" when compared to the 3G.

i don't plan on upgradin yet... coz iKnow that Apple have a huge surprise for the world, with the September 2010 iPhone.

so... all iCan say is... iWait. iWatch. iHope.

        • I used to a big mobile phone freak before, but I have realized that the cheapest and the simplest lasts the most, besides being practical. My first phone was a second hand wood finish Ericsson GH 388 bought in 1996, followed by a Nokia 2110 (brand new phones were financial Harakiri those days). The best phone I have ever had was the Nokia 5110, which I bought brand new in 1998 - the phone lasted me full five years. Then I bought the 'made for India' 1100 which lasted me a couple of years and then a couple of disastrous stints with the expensive Nokia 5500 and then the budget Sony Ericsson W210 which also saw the exit route pretty quick. I have kept all my Nokia models (except the 5500), so here's the picture. I bet none of you would remember the first one on the left (2110), though the 5110 might figure vaguely in someone's memory!
          [IMG][/IMG]

Sick and tired of Symbian OS/Java phones, I decided to spend a princely Rs.1200 and buy a Nokia 1203, which is current phone. I travel a lot so I love its never ending talk time (thanks to its monochrome display and bare bones OS) and it ease of use.

All my colleagues have fancy blackberries and iphones, but they still think my 'Made for India' phone is cool!

          • I am a big gadget freak and have owned quiet a few mobile phones since past 10 years and i am currently, eagerly waiting for the Blackberry Curve 8310. Have booked one long back....through Vodafone BB corporate sales for Reuters, Bangalore (I know most of you will be telling me its quiet an old phone etc. etc. etc. you have an improved version for this.......)

The corporate SIM has already been activated but the handset has not yet arrived. Even went down to the Vodafone store's at couple of place here in Blr to inquire about BB8310 Curve but none to avail.

They say the waiting period is for a month or so but after calling them couple of times they have agreed to deliver this week. I was promised that the handset will be delivered tommorow, there was an email related with it but i shift + deleted the email i called them up to resend the email and found that its holiday today. I am quiet sure what they would have mentioned in that e mail, most probably to wait for another week . Although my fingers are crossed for tommorow.

            Eagerly waiting for tommorow.

                • @Bluevolt: Your statements are so true! I used various Nokia models, right from Nokia 3650 to Nokia 7710 (touch-screen), and HTC Touch. At present, I am using the Nokia 1100, and not surprisingly, this is the cell phone which I have for the longest duration (more than a year now!).

I just love the simplicity that it provides, not to mention the sturdy quality as well.
                  :)

Absolutely dude. I was having 6600 7610 SE W830i , SE w705 and now nokia 1110. Seriously having costly mobiles in your pocket is pain. I have gone through the pain three times when i lost 7610 w830 and recently w705(Just one month old).

                    • today i changed my week old Nokia N97 for a brand new Iphone 3gs 16Gig. have been a symbian freak for the past 5 years , my love affair with it started with 6630 then N81 and then N82 but when i bought this brick N97 and used it found out how far behind nokia are in the tech race , even they themself are ditching symbian for a new parallel OS.

                      this is just my opinoin.
