i just got myself a N79 too, great camera, great wifi and gps. all that i needed. And in time for the auto expo!!

Well, my first priority is past experience & knowledge.
If that doesn't work out like in this case, then I google it with features and from the results I quickly find the compatible ones...

both have the same features and almost the same price.

both have touch screens but corby has a keyboard as well.

I recommend Nokia 5800 as its a smartphone. You can also checkout recently launched Nokia 5230 @8.5k, which has same looks as 5800 minus wifi/stereo speakers/front cam/3.2 mp.

Bought a SE R306 almost exactly 13 months back. A few days back I found that the phone was showing the red arrow (indicating a missed call) and the sms icon but while trying to check the details of the same nothing was showing. Thinking it was a normal software problem I showed it to SE service centre who did a master reset and said the problem is fixed (and charged 150 bucks in the process). The problem resurfaced & now the SE SC is saying that its a motherboard issue and nothing can be done. Is there anything that can be done ? Or is it consigned to the dustbin ?

M GOIN FOR THE cORBY PRO as i sms a lot and 5800 does not have a kepad and pro has everything touch+qwerty kepad with wifi 3g and all the stuff at 11000 bucks which is 1.5k less than 5800.

I like nokia phones though they are slow. But i hate Nokia service. Damn, pathetic service

i think it is based on java platform. So the softwares available for symbian phones wont work in it. but now u can get lot of sw available for java phones also.
And how u feel about the samsung star? better than 5800?

a 2nd hand star is available for 7000rs, less than one month old, bought from abroad, should i buy it?

ya saw that.. does the price drop by them mean they are selling out like a stock clearance!!

see star is damn awesome phone but 5800 u can customize moreover the samsung stars 3.2 mp camera falters ....is bad at antiblur....better functionality but stick to nokia till decent softwares come out for star.....
