get atleast a LG optimus net [HVGA 480X320, 800MHz CPU] its 10 times better than galaxy.

      • Will 808 Pureview be ok for me?

In every matter, Nokia 808 Pureview mobile reminds me of 1199 Panigale. Even 1199 Panigale has a number, followed by a "P" named model name, plus they're both near perfect at their specialty. Also, both are creating ripples before their releases too.

Guys, After a successful 1.5 years experience with Nokia N8, I'm looking forward to own the Nokia 808 Pureview.

It has a fat 41 Megapixel Lens, whose's MAIN benefit is to oversample 7 pixels to create a pure pixel, thereby creating perfect 5/8 Megapixel images. Also, you get real "lossless" zoom without optical noise, and speed issues. And if these benefits are not enough, you can take FULL 38 MP Photos with it too.

Videos are filled up too with features: Full HD 30 fps, with 4x lossless zoom, 720p with 6x lossless zoom, 640x360p with 12x zoom. Plus Audio records, are in rich stereo, which means everything from bass to treble is almost CD quality recording. Touch to focus, continuous autofocus, fix range, etc. are all supported!

Given previous Symbians, it is expected to have great audio quality too.

And it has 1.3 GHz processor, 512 mb ram, enough for Symbian I think. And a special processor for processing 41 MP Sensor output further. And another GPU for 3D gaming, 3D use, etc.

My needs are: the best combo of "camera + earphone music". Adventurer I am, but I don't carry dig cam or Mp3 player. My phone does it all. Smartphone/ UI can be so-so.

Check its specs and tell me, what do you think of it, for my above-mentioned needs:

Sexy features it has. Other than the waning popularity of Symbian and lack of apps that Android and iOS have, everything seems great in this.

Wish Nokia releases a Windows OS version of this as and when Window gains good ground.

            • Yes, they did say "Pureview technology will be used in future phones", but WM Pureview mobiles have appeared only in spy pics so far, nothing official about it. But yes, it might appear later.

Symbian suits me fine, as I've been using different editions of it for 7 years now. I don't download much apps, even today my N8 has the best 10-15 apps and 20-25 games only.. The two best things I like about Symbian are:
No viruses and bugs at all due to their signing system, no tension at all,
has very strong basics and essential features, which some other OS'es miss,

As for Windows, it has its own disadvantages that I checked. Its UI is very interesting though.
I could've chosen iOS or Android ICS, over Symbian and WM anyday, but no Android is coming with the best combination of "Camera and Music Quality", so had to drop it...

Off the top of my head, Omina W has a front camera and better battery life.

And Lumia has free for life Nokia maps navigation.

There is a comparo between these 2 done on gsmarena.com . Read it properly and it should make your decision easier. Both of them easily fit your budget so there is no problem there. Best of luck

Awesome time for me to chip in.... Today, I celebrate 2 months of owning a Samsung Omnia W!!!
My room mate also bought a WP7, Lumia 710 some 15 days back.

I must say, I feel Omnia is better. Better battery life...
Specs absolutely same though... Ya, but the pics quality are better on the Nokia Lumia 710.

                    • Hi, everyone.
Am looking for the cheapest phone available in the market that had an inbuilt GPS, not Assisted GPS, the real thing, so that I can use to find the true speed am riding at etc.
And would really appreciate if the replies came in asap, cause my dad will be returning in a few days and am intending to ask him to get one for me.

Currently targeting C7, which is used by a fellow Xbhpian and he uses it to record his true speed etc. Its abit expensive at 16k's. So hoping to find some thing else which offers more bang for the buck + cheaper.

He doesnt recall the name, but he said he got it from Ovi Store. If you go back a few pages on the ZMA thread you can find a few screen snaps he had posted.

See, if you're spending 16,000 (damn!) for C7, its better to buy N8 for a better camera, double the internal memory, Double TV Outs', etc. for Rs. 17000. Makes sense.

I'm using N8 with 32 GB card, and apart from lesser apps and slightly lesser working speed, there's not a Pindrop complaint at all. The 12 Megapixel Cam is amazing.

For cheaper alternatives, you can go for Nokia 500, C5-05, C5-06 etc. or go for any midrange Galaxy phone by Samsung like Galaxy Y, Galaxy 3, Galaxy 5, etc.

In any case, you can't go wrong with the N8. You get the best combination of music+camera quality combo in the industry, and an overall good phone, that too at just 17k. Plus, its GPS is among the better ones in the market.

(The only phone I found rivaling N8 well in the sound+camera quality was the iPhone 4S, sold at three times the price, some 54,000.)

                                As i know both N8 & C7 has similar hardware .
Change is N8 have 12 MP camera , Xenon Flash , 16 GB internal memory , TV out cable , USB OTG cable .
While C7 have 8 MP camera , Dual LED Flash , 8 GB internal memory , NFC .

Xenon Flash can't be used for contineous focus in video recording mode while LED flash can be . ( Checked on Anna , might be changed on Belle )
Both support 32 GB micro SD ans as class 10 & usb 3.0 cards prices dropped so i think no matter about Internal memory .
For TV out on C7 you can use Nokia CA-75U cable it works good.
C7 is USB OTG supported so just need to get CA-157 cable .

So things remained are you can't get NFC on N8 . That is advantage of C7
You can't get xenon flash on C7 . That is advantage of N8

Ashwin if you like to switch between PR 2 , Anna , Belle , Carla then definately go for N8 as its easy because of Scandinavia firmware , which is hard in C7 & may brick it .
