In this phone in less price you will have all the functions that any phone has and since its symbian you can install many software and apps. The music and camera is also good.(Most of my touring photos are taken bu this cam only) and the main thing is that it does not hang as the earlier nokia n-series phones.....................

+1 to that. The 5 mp cam is really good, it also has GPS though I've never used it!

I'm no good with touchscreen and delicate phones.

The shop-owner told he gets it from some sources. He told me he can get N no. of pieces on order. Charges are high too . . C6 for 15500/-
E5 for 13500/-
and C3 FOR 6500/-
C3 is also available after a week .

Its an android based phone and costs 10K,one can get it from spice hotspot stores.But it is currently running android 1.6 which is outdated although they have mentioned it to be android 2.2 ready.

Could you please provide the link for C6. I have been waiting for this one since 4 months and keep looking for any kind of lead.

This link from Nokia India site still says 'Coming Soon'.

Only strong lead I could see so far was a tweet to TechTree : http://www.techtree.com/India/Techtr...12328-889.html . But now even this seems going down the drain

N79 is one of the better handsets of Nokia in its price range... whether its image or music quality. No matter how old it is, it can still give a run for your money.

It was sadly overshadowed by N85 in terms of features. But its still a VFM if you don't want a touchscreen.
