An R15 with my bigbore and exhaust alone clocks 0-100kph in 9.3secs with a 58 kilo rider. Cost - A lot less than half of the daytona kit. For the cost of the daytona kit, you can do a lot more. So pls evaluate yourself.

The daytona kit has been reviewed by many here. Just to put it in perspective, a daytona kitted(ECU, exhaust, cam) R15 does 0-100kph in around 12 secs or a shade under. Cost - 38kOriginally posted by ~ AK ~ View Post

Joel, you are so creative... Hats off to your mods
.
I know this is exclusively for R15 users but still I hope you can make solution for my doubt.
I heard that you have done some mods to P220dtsi. so my question is
*Any improvement is possible to the top end if we fit a FFE only in P220dtsi? without changing, cam shaft,Piston, cylinder & gear ratos?
*I own a P220dtsfi(fuel Injector) with ECU...Is there any possiblilty of changing the ECU commands or install an aftermarket ECU I mean rev upto 12000rpm?
I suggest if you can do such research for P220dtsfi it will be a great relief for a few P220dtsfi owners through out the country and a postive business path for you too

The P220 has the exhaust as a hardware upgrade and it gives it a massive gain. Will add more later.sigpic

Thanks joel...If you have something to do with P220dtsfi, It will be a great hope for some P220 dtsfi users like usOriginally posted by Joel View PostThe P220 has the exhaust as a hardware upgrade and it gives it a massive gain. Will add more later.

Hi Jayamohan,Originally posted by a.jayamohan View PostThanks joel...If you have something to do with P220dtsfi, It will be a great hope for some P220 dtsfi users like us
I own a 220-FI, modifications done are FFE and engine head job by Joel. Perfromance gain is out of this world. Throttle response, which was already good before mods, has got even better. Bike red-lines effort-lessly after the mods.
However, rev-limiter plays spoil sport sometimes. Wondering how to get rid of this.
And yes FFE is not very loud, it sounds sweet tho.
Hope you recall Ashish from orkut comms...

Anyway I just wish to know the rev limit cut off point..is it breaking the 11300 rpm limit? Kindly send me your experinence through my mail id [email protected] .
@Joel: If your research find a suitable new ECU for P220dtsfi I am damn sure it will be a great market success. If so a thousands of P220 dtsfi owners will going to be your customers
. I hope what bajaj had done to their premium customers will going to regret soon.

Yes, you can always revert to stock. All the setups are swappable to stock later. From bigbore to cams to ecu to the exhaust etc.Originally posted by neoakshay View PostHey Joel,
I had a question about the big-bore kit for the R15.. Once the big-bore kit is installed, can the stock bore be re-installed at a later date?sigpic

Thanks for clearing my doubt!Originally posted by Joel View Post^Yes, it improves the overall rev-range. Since the gearing remains unchanged, the top-speed is the same, but gets there much quicker. You will see a significant increase in power across all throttle points, right from low-end till top-whack.
One more question, what is the true-top end of a R15 with stock gearing?

A stock R15 does a true 138kph on v-box with a full flat 2 kms stretch and a crouched rider.sigpic

i have read all the posts over here and i guess your mods are much better than the daytona kit. I had a small doubt, after reading i know that it will give better overall power and quicker speed gain but what top-speed can it attain with the mods by you ??
i have heard people saying that the daytona kit would give a speed of 150+ though i havent beleived them but still asking u is that true ?
