Now bangy has two supeR-15s !
@navnish: The freeflow that was plonked on Joel's bike being planned for the R-16.5? Im guessing that the addition of the freeflow will make the already (now, post-new-bore) torquey R-16.5 a 220 killer. Me guessing right?

Navnish :- How does your R15 compare to Joel's now in terms of performance?

Joels bike is totally different with heavy modifications. This one is just a 150 block replaced with 165. Increased torque and improved performance and most importantly simple plug and play. The two bikes are in different leagues altogether.

Joel: Would be interesting to see the mods you mentioned on an FZ. The only thing the bike lacks is power and if you can provide that, it would make the FZ a very interesting bike to own.

The FZ is a killer looker. The Fazer is the best looking bike in the country. But no go with the show. So its time to give that bike some serious kick.

@bprags - My R15 will give you "Gs" when you get past 5000rpm and I'm always having near misses while riding in the city. Last 2 weeks ago I stopped riding it and was riding my stock RTR coz I felt it would kill me soon. And any bike I ride, I'm never easy with the throttle. It reaches 120 like how a stock bike touches 80. Does all kind of drama while shifting thru gears. Wheelies and power slides. yesterday I hit 142kph(speedo) on my R15 sitting upright and while it was hopelessly windy, that too in some 800mtrs.
Navnish's bike is a stock bike with only a big-bore.

@Binoy - I dont have time to do a surgery on an FZ. Maybe 2 months from now, I'll do something.

^ Yup, seriously i've been wondering why no one's doing any serious performance mods on the FZ.

Frankly most of the FZ buyers are not performance seekers.
For 75k, they could easily pick an RTR180/160FI or a little more and even the new p220. So most just fall for the way it looks and feels and thats about it.
Trust me, there are more poser out there on roads than what we can sit here and imagine. All just want those fat stuffs and head turning style. People have still not grown enough brains on accepting performance seriously.
I for one, would choose performance over looks, but its always the other way with all.
Also everybody wants performance without doing anything radical. Some filters and plugs should do the trick.
Anyways, let me get an FZ to work on

Sheesh, dont be so harsh man. People who don't really care about power, go for the looks, so what? They just prefer looks over power, and come on man, why would you tag them as posers. There are different people who prefer different things in life - Some people don't mind compromising on power for better looks, and that does not make them non bikers or posers. Nevertheless , I will not disagree that there are quite a few posers on the road - the ones with loud tin cans, the ones with K&N for the noise.

And saying FZ is not only a poser, i like the bike very much, Top speed and varying mileage are the problems for FZ16... what abt the handling, stability etc.
                            and yamaha says it's a city/street bike... and for a 150cc, 14bhp one can't expect more...
                            what say Joel???

14ps from a 150cc modern 4-stroke engine is very less. world-over, these low capacity single cylinder 2 valve Yamaha engines are very underpowered and in-efficient. Honda and Suzuki makes the best small engines.

I remember Sanjay Tripathi making a statement to us few months ago, "R15 is for racers and FZ is for posers"
