how did u check ur speed? was it on a gps device or a speed gun or was it on the speedo?

coz i weigh around 92kgs and i have clocked 142kmph on the speedo and my r15 is completely stock. Ofcourse it was not a straight road it was a bit inclined southwards that is. But still i am able to manage 132-135kmph on a straight road.....

BTW whats the reliability factor like?? As in how many kms is the engine expected to last??

      And how much on damages????
How reliable does 2700KMs in 5 days on a souped bore stroke sound to you

He is very cynical about making it a street friendly setup rather than a full blown out and out a few races meant performance setup!

      • @L.P, @abhayshanu thanx guys

@satyenpoojary well i cant exactly tell u about the grin but it's doin all this when it's actually running very rich

@darkknight well trust u wont regret it at all. as for me riding to bangalore always wanted to do a road trip so wat better reason could it be.

@jd666 well for the pricing i would suggest you PM joel as for the reliability factor as joel said it will as reliable as any stock R15

@tulinisarg well i'm talkin about speedo to be honest it's quick to 145kmph crawls after that wind plays a big role for me when reaching 148kmph some times i do sometimes i dont and besides that i cant blame the machine because i'm running Front 23 Rear 26 + i was a completely straight road with no incline

        • 23-26 What are you talking about, air pressure or is that an INSANE sprocket setup!

EDIT: I think it is airpressure!

no bro it has stock sprocket, i did this so that i get more tracktion because whenever i shift from 1-2 i have a wheel spin i dont wanna skid around basically dont wanna try my luck, joel has told me to increase pressure by F25 - R29 for top speed runs

the exhaust must be a screamer at 11-12k rpm man.

i have a stock ecu which has a cut off @10.5rpm but trust me the sound is beautifull once i reach the power band thats what all of my friends say. as for the video i'm planning on doing a top speed video of my bike but it's not working dont know where to fit my n96 safely

Every stock R15 will clock 145kph on the speedo. but the difference with a souped bike is that it gets there much quicker. Basically is about half the distance. Which means your 0-60 and 0-100 is much faster than your stock bike and hence you get there quicker.

This bike runs a stock ECU with just the fuelling changed and hence gets to the rev-limiter very quick. The engine needs to be really reliable since its a big-bore and hence I have opted to keep the stock ECU limiter.

My engine on the other hands revs to 12500rpm and has a valvetrain which can support upto 13000rpm. And I have all the liberty to play with its reliability since its my bike, but not when its running some 1800kms away from my town.

@bikemanic - Please post some high res pics of the exhaust.

Also for top-speed runs, please run higher air pressure like I told you.

Which is what you wrote as "building more torque" route! I have that line etched in my head!
Joel are you using the factory racing ECU or did you cook up something yourself

by a very teeny weeny margin is present in stock too(clutch-less shift), but only if you are cranked a wee bit

@Gibran-- gives me good reason to be happy and plan my next calcutta visit
