      why dont you plp look at the r125 ,there are full of after market performance mods like exaust & ecu mods .
      i also think its way more agressive than r15 looking at seating position,tank size stepped rear seat ,

        The meaning of performance is very relative to one's perception. If you feel that speed and agility is performance, I might consider efficiency and durability as performance too. So if my bike can deliver more mileage for every drop of fuel, then that a better performing bike. Similary, if the engine can last longer for more kms ridden, then that's performance too. So there are different parameters to measure performance.

        People also purchase bikes with bias. Some may be biased with brand names, some with colours, some may get a "special" feel while riding, some may just want to rip it open. There are other factors too. An ideal mixture of commuting from point A to point B to a weekend tour both on a same bike is subjective to perception from the purchaser's point of view. He/she may not be able to afford a commuter bike and also a tourer/racer bike at the same time. So a a bike that is a combination of both would be ideal. Perhaps a commuter during the week, and a racer during the weekend. It would be harsh to call them as posers because they look at the bike from more than a single point of view.

        If you have understood any part of what I meant to convey, then congrats! coz I don't !!!

          Too bad those words came out of the Brand Management head of Yamaha.

              Nothing is a dumb question mate. All have rights of speech
              Yes, its possible. The engine will need to be stroked up as well. I havent thought of a heavy big-bore coz the racing class for us is restricted to 165cc. Else, I have no issues in going max on the cc.
              However its a very big task to stroke up the crank. Not at all easy. But very much possible. You also need to accomodate larger valves to get better flow else the engine will be under-fed and lack top-end performance.

                    @Joel

                    thanx for the quick reply

                    i think that u did a great job cause a 165 block performing optimally will be much better than a 200cc underfed engine at stock settings

                    hey mate one more question at u

                    what is the potential of the chasis of R15, i mean how much we talk about increasing the cc's it is not possible without a suitable chasis...??

                      R15 chassis can handle a 250 cc blown engine with ease man.
                      with different tires though..

                      Stock is way too underpowered for that brilliant chassis and suspension.

                            so u say all FZ owners are posers rite... may be, but i am not... actually sports bikes are my cup of tea... but as i rode an R15 i didn't liked it's initial power(i am not comparing with an FZ) and for a 150cc and 17bhp bike(what ever the technology is) a price of 1+ lak isn't a huge amount... that's one of the reason i jus skipped R15...

                            when the price comparo between FZ and R15... it's almost a 35K increase(here) and at that price range the R15 must be atleast a 200-250cc and 20+bhp bike...
