@ Abimanyu- I am sorry for bringing my experience in your post. I couldn't think any better place. I wanted to start a new thread about my Race concepts tuned R165. So I took little effort and posted my experience as new thread before 3 weeks or so but MODS included my post as a part of ownership experience. Can u guys please go through my post in page 1822 (R15 ownership experience) and share your comments with me. Provided link below

I have switched to Motul 300v double ester fully synthetic and now I can feel the huge difference, Yes the starting problem has reduced considerably. I did paint the alloys and rear mud guard and the job was not perfect so few months later I am planning to do it again. My tires are due for replacement. Next month I am planning for that although its difficult to find the spec of tires here. I asked couple of big shops and they asked fro 10 - 15 days time. I can wait for that. My clutch plates are 33K old I did not find any huge difference in performance but I am planning to change that also. Mine is five plate I suppose.
Both my discs were in bad condition and I did get a set of petal disc for front from Joel and I have installed that along with a steel braided line in front, I changed to stock plate for rear disc but It was difficult installing rear steel braided line with the stock set up so its back to original now. The braking has good improvement now.
The ride feel more smoother now I did manage to hit 142 with my 88 kg weight its was wounder full experience. As always it will be never enough, it got me thinking Did I miss the opportunity to install 172cc block.
Thanks for your advice and sincere help. I will update you about the happenings. Thank you again.----------------------------------------------------------------------

@ Abimanyu
I have few queries after i did few parts replacement. I did the following
1. Clutch plates replaced.
2. Spark plug replaced with G_power (130/- bucks)
3. Front high beam HID (right side only)
4. Front (petals) and rear disc plates.
5. Front steel braided lines.
6.15W50 Motul full syn Oil change
I did these changes with a mechanic nearby who was good with R15 (you cant trust those guys though)
I have new problems,
1. I hear a tik tik sound while riding, The mechanic says tappets should be adjusted. Also after a test ride he says the valves better be replaced. Is he right?. Should I adjust the tappets and leave the valves as it is?
2. My idling after the 165cc setup Mod is not settled the needle hovers 0.5k around the idling rpm? Is it normal?, What should we do to make it as before?
3. In chennai the climate is very hot, when riding in hot sun (11.00AM) in slow moving traffic and long signals the over heat indicator appeared (Iam using RR ECU), I rested it for 10mts and then took off and did not stop for 5 mts then stopped in signal it again started to appear and then when moved in decent speed it disappeared. while the indicator in lit I did not see the fan running. Should I check on the fan?, should i switch to better coolant?
Please let me know your comments on that. Mean while I am also planing to extend the MOD and do few more, I'm currently in discussion with Joel once finalized / done I will update you.----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks you abimanyu.
I too had doubts regarding the valve replacement?, Should never trust local mechanics. They do good job only for the first time I suppose.
If throttle body should be inspected then I have plans to get a new throttle body also so I will Hold this option for little while more.
I will try stock ECU and run in the same condition and observe. THankyou for all your patient reply
After I have changed the spark plug to G- power I have a small pause while riding in low RPMs say in second gear 2k-3k rpm there is a small pause and it feels like spark plug like issue. When we switch ON HID we have a small/little gap in our spark, This symptom is like that. Once we reach 4k or above then there is no such case. I wounder if i have installed a wrong plug?. Does iridium plug does job better its 550/- I suppose.----------------------------------------------------------------------

We had a small day out with our modified bikes, the RTR, R15 and the CBR against the new kid in the block - the KTM duke. Well all I can say is it got warped real bad, like it didnt exist!
The fun of riding a tuned machine and whooping larger and more expensive machines is what the real treat of tuning is all about. The look on the face of the looser is priceless

... the Ninja too has tremendous potential... its just that someone like Joel would need to be convinced to take the trouble of working on it. Yes, we should meet and ride together.

)... I have seen what JoelKraju's big bore P220 can do and to put it simply, its a CBR killer
... That thing is like a fiery bat out of hell and is blazingly fast... So imaging what Joel will do with it once he gets his hands on the 200NS. From what I have garnered the 200NS is a good base (though Bajaj has gone overboard with the 3 spark plugs
)
I have not been able to dyno the bike. However, as measured currently on Gtech data logger, the bike makes a net HP of 18 at the rear wheel after all losses are calculated. Therefore, I would say it makes round about 22 HP. I am not into custom paint jobs, I like keeping my bike a wolf in sheep's clothing
. Currently, my bike is running a very aggressive fuel map, therefore, it gives around about 35 to 38 kmpl. However, it is running rich in some areas, therefore there is definitely scope for improvement in terms of power, and fuel efficiency. I have asked Joel about re programming the ECU. Lets see what happens.
@farazsaeedrules: ThanksOriginally posted by farazsaeedrules View PostIts an honour to find you among us Xbhpians. The detailing is freaking awesome. And hats-off to Joel for his R&D.
Kindly upload a fully geared image of you with the R16.
Personal Question- Which Dianese gloves u r using? Can u advice me from where to purchase one.
... The gloves are about two and half years old and have been discontinued by Dianese. Infact, when I bought them, they were being replaced so I got them at a very good discount. I buy most of my gear from abroad when I travel as most shops over here don't have my size.

This update has been long overdue. Have been so busy that I have not had the time to download the data from the data logger.
First before all things; a big big thanks to JoelKraju for helping me do these test. Not only did he identify the spot to do these test, but also became the jockey at my request. 'Thanks Joel, could not have done it without you
'.
Let me cut the chase; 0 to 60 (96 kms) miles in 9.14 seconds (figure 1).

Figure 1 - 0 - 60 mph in 9.14 seconds.
Now, before you start asking why am I quoting 96 kms and not 100 kms, to put it simply, because of the venue where we were testing. The length of the venue was such that the bike hits an intersection at around the 9 second mark and Joel has to let off the throttle as is apparent from the power chart (figure 2). This hampered us from doing 100 kms mark runs properly. If you look at the chart you will note the sudden dip in the power output at around the 9 seconds mark. This is because Joel is letting off the throttle at this point out of caution for any traffic that is joining into this road from the intersection.

Figure 2 - Power Output.
The bike was completely stock with no weight reducing measures taken as suggested by Joel. It had half a tank of fuel and mirrors on. What I wanted to simulate was traffic_light-to-traffic_light drag simulation with a completely street worthy bike.
As mentioned before, the venue was less than ideal. The tarmac was worn out and had started breaking up. We were facing wheel spin and the bike has a irritating flat spot right in the middle of the power band around 8,500 rpm, though it is nothing that a slight adjustment to the fuel maps should not take care of. We will once again do these runs after fixing all these problems and I am very confident that we should be able to take out another half to three quarters of a second out to hit the low 8 seconds.Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Mention not sirjiOriginally posted by abhimanyu31 View PostFirst before all things; a big big thanks to JoelKraju for helping me do these test. Not only did he identify the spot to do these test, but also became the jockey at my request. 'Thanks Joel, could not have done it without you

It was my pleasure.
Regarding the test yeah the road was not properly leveled one. bit of bump an all in between.
I guess if we do any more runs in future we will go to kharghar as the road is properly leveled and thats were most of the drag race (OFFICIAL ONES) happen
Yeah 0-100 should come under 9 secs is what I too feel as it was the first time I rode a fully Joel"ed r15 (r165 :P) So I had no clue when to launch the bike (was launching at around 6500-7000rpm ) Dint have any idea were the power band starts and all . I just did 3-4 runs.I just need to get used to the bike and am sure I can do better timings!
It was really good meeting you sir .You sir have alot of knowledge about bikes, tunings an all .I sure would like to learn more about this all from you Sir
Lets catch up next time when your bike will be ready with SOOMMME thing new which you are gonna do to the r15 you had told me :
