Price, I think it is best you contact Joel for the cost, it wont be to much or atleast PM chin, I doubt anyone will be interested in disclosing the cost involved here.

Also As far as I know, the RPM Redline is at 10.5 but we can SEE the neddle going up to 11k, that is because its an analog needle.

Thanks Abhay for coming to the rescue
However, after the mods, the limiter no longer works and you can pull all the way to 12000 rpm.

the difference between stock and now is, on the stock bike even though it goes till 11000 rpm and then cuts off but it takes time to reach 11000 rpm. Also, theres no point of reving all the way to rev limiter in the 1st and 2nd gear as the usable power is there until 8000-9000 rpm, after that its just engine grunt.

But now you can go all the way to 12000 rpm in any gears without rev-limiter cutting in and you get power all the way. Also, it does not take long to go all the way to 12000 rpm. I change gears at around 8-9000 rpm in any gear. This you do not do in stock condition.

Hope I am able to convey properly. Abhay please chip in

Well I have my rev limiter at 10.5k but if you are sure yours isnt then I would LOVE to ride your bike for once.

The Stock bike has power but all ends at 8.5k-9k and after that you are just raising the RPM but not gaining much speed, if you shift at 9k you would get a faster time as compared to shifting at 10k. But after just a FFE mod, you bike would rev much more freely. It would reach 9k easily and would go to 10-11k with ease, it would have the same feel as a stock bike at 7-8k, because there is still power left but its the end of the revs for the bike. The head mod does not increase the fluidity of the revs but the force that they carry. You get a punch at each shift much stronger than the stock.

Chin I now shift at 3-4k at each gear rarely NEED to go to 8k

                Surprise Surprise

My bike does not have rev-limiter. Because it does not cut in even when I am at 11000 rpm. But at 12000 rpm I feel like it has maxed out, but no limiter kicking in.

I guess thats the benefit of living in the same city as that of the Greatest Tuner

Yes I know the punch you get at shifting from 3rd to 4th is the same like shifting from 1st to 2nd on a stock bike. But its all new to you, but I'm use to it now
Thats why want more, no no, need more.

You can get the Plug and Play parts from him, like the Exhaust and the Head work. You dont need to travel to bangalore then.

Target: To build a 220 that will be quicker and faster than the Baby Ninja. At least thats the goal, and I am very optimistic about Joel's work.
Hello any updates on this?? Am desperately waiting for it.
Will perhaps go to Banglore in march or april for two weeks just to mod the bike since my bike has already done 20k kms and i think now the stock is more powerful than mine. So kindly let me know how much time it took in this process??

And guys since our bike is a carburetor one and there is indeed a lot more differences in carburettor and FI technology. So according to my calculations and research 220F and 220fi engine is completely different. And as far as i know fuel injection system is more efficient and at the same time gives more power than carburetor. (note am talking about the fuel systems and not the 220 FI and 220 carb)

SO Here my question is, what if 220F is installed with r15's FI system and the ECU is taken by Joel of the r15 and installing it on the modded 220F just like chinmaykar has, wouldnt that give a more add on to it?? considering the fact that FI is more efficient and powerful than carburetor

The carb engine is a better option on the P220 as of now. Let it be that way. Also, the fuelling systems in the R15 and p220 are not swappable. Its a whole lot of affair if you really wanna make it work and then perform.

Further Mods on my already Joeled 220

Hello everyone, I got my bike today from Joel, after further modifications to the engine.
Whatever Joel has done to the engine, it sure packs a lot more punch now.

Bike accelerates even more faster now.
It has become even more fun to ride.

The aim of the project was to make my 220 dtsi quicker and faster than the Ninja 250. The bike is no doubt a lot more quicker now. However, as per Joel the bike will hit its top speed quicker than before, however to increase the top end will need to put Yamaha R15 tyre at the rear 100/80-17 or find some way to reduce the weight.

Will try to install R15 tyre at the rear and see how much quicker and faster the bike becomes.

However, will need to drag with a Ninja 250 to find out if my 220 is quicker than a stock Ninja 250.
Anyone, from Bangalore willing to meet for a ride to Nandi Hills?

Also, can someone tell me if theres any other way to reduce weight without removing anything from the bike.

What I mean is can we substitute\fabricate certain body parts using lighter material?

Finally, I am happy with the performance gain. Joel, I will come back for some more mods once you are back after the MotoGP season. Hope the Big Bore is ready then
