Make a DIY mount. Use some suction cups like on the go-pro on-board camera that we use. The Go-Pro is a very expensive option, so just use your regular digi cam, wrap it in a casing and get a suction cup mount made. Use some household stuffs and make your onboard mount. Thats the cheapest way of building one.

Update on Performance
Heres a small review about the performance of the bike after the modifications. Today, I went on a ride with a Pillion towards the International Airport. Bike pulls cleanly in all the gears. Much better now, after I changed the Clutch Plates, which were completely worn out due to lot of harsh riding and wheelies. It is a hoot to ride her in the traffic now. The rpm needle now swings much faster towards the red line, and in the process gives amazing acceleration. People just get surprised with the way she zooms ahead.
Also, I got an opportunity to race against a stock P220 dtsi. I had no intention of racing, however the rider felt offended the moment I overtook him, with the FFE roaring like a lion. He started provoking me. Then what, a little provocation on his behalf was enough to start racing. All, this while traffic was sparse, with 70% of open roads to open the throttle.
My bike with 2 riders was way more quicker than the stock 220 dtsi with a single rider (No offense to stock bike, as a stock 220 dtsi itself is a power house). While he was shifting gears redlining in each gear, I was shifting less frequently. Because my bike touches 40 in the 1st gear, 70 in the 2nd gear, and the moment I shift to 3rd, she is nicely doing 105, and for the record goes all the way to 125 in 4th that too much much quicker, could not push further as roads did not permit. I am able to touch 125 on the same roads where I could touch 90-95 earlier, and 110 after the first stage of mods.
All the while I felt like I was racing against a 150 cc bike allowing him to overtake and then hunting him down (thats not an exaggeration). I let that guy take a huge lead, and then decided to try and overtake. It was like piece of cake overtaking the stock 220.
I am not saying I am a good rider, I am just trying to emphasize the fact that my bike now is substantially quicker than a stock 220. Quicker to an extent that, it makes a stock bike feel much less powerful in comparison.
This makes me more impatient for the 230 cc block. I want to taste the power with the 230 cc block.
I am trying to construct a frame that will hold my camera for acceleration and top speed recording. I have created a rough sketch, will try and get it fabricated this weekend.

Glad that your engine is fast enough to do the job. Just a tip, avoid street rage. Take an open road and make an offer to those wannabes.sigpic

Arre chin, stop racing against kids man, race with a worthy opponent, like me
Anyways, my bike too reaches 125 in 4th, thats the top, never knew before the mods
But I am sure you will reach there faster than I would.

I can say one thing, you are an engineering student who loves Engg DrawingOriginally posted by chinmayakar View PostHeres a small review about the performance of the bike after the modifications. Never knew that before the mods. After mods, it touches 125 very very quickly in 4th gear. Its just that roads were not good to try out further. Will try this and let you know.Originally posted by joelkraju View Postin 4th gear u can max out like 136 ... at 136 the rev limiter cuts... in stock but it takes like anything to reach der.. but in a bit down slope it can touch.. talking about stock and speedo indicated
But one thing I can say is stock bike too touches 90-95 in 3rd gear, but then after that rev limiter cuts in, whereas now theres no rev limiter cutting in, it reaches 105-110 very quickly, and also it does not feel stressed out, as in stock condition.
Now, the rev needle hits 12000 rpm, but does not bounce back, like when the rev-limiter kicks in. The needle stays there, and I just have to move up a gear to continue the blitzkreig.

Joel teri bike mein jhol hai re, seriously. It does 0-100 in 8 secs, stock and does 136 in 4th.Originally posted by joelkraju View Postin 4th gear u can max out like 136 ... at 136 the rev limiter cuts... in stock but it takes like anything to reach der.. but in a bit down slope it can touch.. talking about stock and speedo indicated
Mine does 0-100 in around 8 secs and MAX 125 in 4th nothing more. It cant re, if it does, then there is seriously something in your bike, it might be a ninja engine or a NEW Prototype P220 engine.Ripping the streets of Bombay on my P250 M

I agree with joelkraju even my bike goes beyond 125+. Once it went 132 when I wanted to check the top speed, then I changed the gear considering that even 5th cog has some work to do :-P may be the new slot got error in speedo or gear ratiosOriginally posted by abhayshanu View PostJoel teri bike mein jhol hai re, seriously. even i agree..Originally posted by Seamus View PostI agree with joelkraju even my bike goes beyond 125+. Once it went 132 when I wanted to check the top speed, then I changed the gear considering that even 5th cog has some work to do :-P may be the new slot got error in speedo or gear ratios
i myself done 130 on speedo on 4th gear..
could have done lil bit more but then shifter to 5th..
abhay- i have seen joelkrajus video doing 100 in 9.XX sec.
you might say speedo error or so but for once we drove side-by-side to tally our speedos and both indicated same reading.
i guess you also failed to take into account his body weight which is 25+ kilo lighter than yours.
maybe you need weight reduction more than your bike
j/k
OR
maybe its you who is holding back the true potential of your vehicle

Even i agree with JoelRaju.
stock does 139kmph at 11.3 k RPM to be precise in 4th (stock tyre)
topend of Stock in each gear is recorded in my Youtube Video (Search for 220 topspeed 153kmph)
with sirac it does 144kmph in 4th gear at 11k RPM
Stock does take time. You should be able to do it much quicker but same speed assuming Gearing is not changed.
PS: All speedo indicatedsigpic

Well I think something is wrong with my bike, as mine does not go over 10.5k rpm, has to be that.Ripping the streets of Bombay on my P250 M
