It seems that you have finally decided on the logo and style for Race Concepts ... are we going to be lucky enough to get the badge to put on our free flow exhaust any time soon??? ... that will put the finishing touch to the free flow exhaust... oh... don't forget (whenever you are in Mumbai) you are going to sign on my bike as an official Joel edition ...

I tried accessing RaceConcepts.in but it says it is under construction. Nice Brand name. Same question can we expect stickers soon?

Site yet to be built. Sticker and monograms will be out in a while. Soon, all the exhausts will be etched/labeled with the Race Concepts logo. Also all the products will have a trademark logo just to keep it exclusive and create a brand identity.
Very soon, will also be launching carbon fiber (yes the real deal, not sticker or fake plastic) touchy bits for our premium bikes, to give it a signature touch of class. Will start with the R15 and then slowly move to the other models.

Well let me also put in a few words to describe how my bike is running after Joel worked on it, there is no doubt at all that it is running Beautifully, except that there is no FFE. But the difference is tremendous before & after the head was worked on. The engine is damn smooth & refined, I haven't tested the top speed or 0-60 or 0-100 timings but the feel itself says it is quicker. Now I'm pestering him for a big bore, but I believe it will take some time. I'm also very tempted to get the damn fairing out because of all the vibration & the noise. Joel, when are you back in the city, let me know.

@Chinmayakar: Tried to meet you to see & hear the exhaust, but it seems our work time doesn't match. Anyway will catch up with you one day to feel the exhaust.

Ahh... Now I am jealous of you DTSI ppl .
My Joeled FI has hit the roof, it seems. Well, Joel has suggested few more additions but wondering how will I get more of top end here. Playing around with sprockets is one option I am looking at.
Planning to swap with DTSI block-piston once My bike is over 30K kms.

Joel, can you please shed some light on "How can we increase the top end?"

              Cheers,
              Ashish

The P220 is quite a capable machine. I'm now tempted to try more things to push it harder. Bajaj has done a good job with the new P220 DTSI.
It really has the potential to kick a ninja in street trim. On the downside, its heavy has a rock. Some weight trimming should instantly add more to the performance quotient.

Whatever Joel has done to the engine, it sure packs a lot more punch now.

Bike accelerates even more faster now.
It has become even more fun to ride.

The aim of the project was to make my 220 dtsi quicker and faster than the Ninja 250. The bike is no doubt a lot more quicker now. However, as per Joel the bike will hit its top speed quicker than before, however to increase the top end will need to put Yamaha R15 tyre at the rear 100/80-17 or find some way to reduce the weight.

Will try to install R15 tyre at the rear and see how much quicker and faster the bike becomes.

However, will need to drag with a Ninja 250 to find out if my 220 is quicker than a stock Ninja 250.
Anyone, from Bangalore willing to meet for a ride to Nandi Hills?

Also, can someone tell me if theres any other way to reduce weight without removing anything from the bike.

What I mean is can we substitute\fabricate certain body parts using lighter material?

Finally, I am happy with the performance gain. Joel, I will come back for some more mods once you are back after the MotoGP season. Hope the Big Bore is ready then

awesome man i was waiting for this post since when. My friend can you post the video of your acceleration and also top speed attended so that we get to know how quick it goes above 120.

Now other thing is that dont you think istalliing r15's rear tyre would actually make your bike unstable at high speeds?? As it is the tyre looks smaller in size compared to stock 220 in terms of diameter and width also. And besides that since the tyre is thin the tyre would make the ride unstable.

Abhay shanu who installed a more fatter tyres so that the power is stably delivered on the ground. now i believe your bike is more powerful than abhays and here you are trying to put thinner tyres compared to stock so how does that work out??

I am newbie in this so please dont take me in a hard way

Installing R15 tyre was just a thought. R15 tyres wont look good on P220, but if you speak to Joel, you will realise that R15 tyres though skinny, they are lot more capable. Stability wont be an issue, as those tyres have good grip according to him. So, I believe that as he is the one who is most knowledgeable here.

I like my bike the way she looks, and going to R15 tyres will spoil the look. I like to maintain a balance between form and functionality.

For the record, my 220 dtsi has MRF Vyde 120 profile tyre which is the same size as the stock, and with increase in power I do not feel any instability or the need to replace with a thicker tyre. May be once Joel comes out with a big bore (230cc block) for 220, then I can think of wider tyres.

Also, can someone suggest me how to mount a camera, so that the picture of the speedo is stable, you know like the ones Joel installs for capturing acceleration figures. I do not like shaky videos.

I have a canon 10 MP point and click normal camera, can someone show me how to mount that without damaging my camera? The reason is my camera shoots crystal clear video.

If not suggest me how to mount my Samsung Wave2 mobile that will shoot stable videos. My mobile too captures video in HD.

^^ if you wanna DIY thing, get a camera pouch for your cell, cut it from the part where you can use the camera to record the vid and paste it inside your helmet, just behind the visor, near your chin, simple and cost-effective or else go for a camera mount

Does anyone know a good fabricator in Bangalore? I want to fabricate something like the one in the pic for attaching my camera/mobile. The frame is a Pulsar 135 tail.
