Anyways, here is a video of a small stretch on my way back from office. It was a 24min video, thanks to Bangalore traffic, only this 25seconds is the fun part!

Exhaust note with Race Concepts kits on RTR180 - YouTube

In the video, initially the throttle must have been at 1/4th position, notice the change in sound when it is whacked!!
Also please note that the tachometer is faulty & it jumps to double the actual rpm.. & this is the best I could get out of my mobile cam
The video was really good. The view of the speedo was pretty clear. Moreover, it was really good to see the needle well past the redline
BTW, you managed to squeeze all that performance below 6.5K RPM? Also, the change in sound was superb and I'm sure that alone will make me hold the grab rails very tight, let alone the juice blast from the engine

PS Please let me know how and where you had mounted or placed the camera...

Thanks man.. & yeah the tacho happily sits at 12k sometimes it even went past the 12k mark to reach somewhere around 14k! & this double rpm thing happens only when headlight is on.. must be something to do with wiring etc..

& yes, the max actual rpm I reached would be 7k, because it was already too loud and i was already getting enough stares from others
Also the change in sound has come out well in video than actual, or maybe i didnt listen properly since I was busy with the throttle

I had a velcro pasted onto the inside of the helmet and the other velcro on the mobile cover. I ensured that the mobile camera had the front view properly. If you want I can send the pics but @plasmabhai and @Divya Sharan have very foolproof mounting for mobile and digi cams.

The 33mm CV semi flat carb now takes the RTR180 to a whole new level along with the rest of our kit parts. A must have for every RTR. With bullet proof reliability and massive power gains.

OT, but I wish this man takes a TVS dealership for his shop to be a TVS SVC, i know its not possible Yamaha, CBR and Pulsar rider wants it to happen respectivley.
Anyways, joel do you by any chance consider or take bikes for regular servicing.

TVS dealership.? Why would anyone want that to happen.? Doesn't make sense..

Though a stupid comment to you, it surely does make sense to me and delights me about dreaming it this way. He is like Devi Shetty of bikes, now who wouldn’t want this Devi Shetty to be treating their bikes.
Frankly speaking, if this man opens up a SVC, I’m sure one has to take appointment before couple of weeks to have his bike serviced and all other SVC would dry up. Getting your bike serviced at Joels shop!! who wouldn’t want that to happen? Though a dream, everyone wants him to lay his hands on their bikes. He is talented and look at what he has done to Adrashs bike, poor guy has to get a seatbelt now.

All I can say is thanks a lot

I just googled to see who Devi Shetty was, maybe I am a little low on general knowledge

Anyways, you can always mail Joel and tell him your opinion. He is always extremely busy with preparations for races and his other projects.

Opening a service center does make sense, but opening a tvs SVC doesn't make sense at all.. all of Joel's magic would be lost. He won't be able to do any of his mods. How does that make sense now.?
And lol yea, I googled devi shetty too..

Will that carb alone have any effect in case of a bone stock RTR160? I personally don't think so as I think a stock 160 gets enough propellant as it runs a smaller 26mm carb compared to stock 180's 29mm. But still curious to hear it from the experts...

                      Here is the DIY.

Disclaimer : Please dont blame me if anything happens to your phone after following these steps!!

Get a velcro patch pasted to the inside of the helmet.

Paste another velcro patch to the mobile cover and use rubber bands, strings to secure the mobile firmly on the mobile cover.
It looks like it is in a sleeping bag

                      Front view

                      Back view

You can now attach the mobile to the helmet as shown.

This is how it looks from front.

This is not a good way of recording since the video comes out rotated by 90 degrees. This can be used mainly for videos focusing on the speedo and nothing else. Also when you crouch, it will most likely record only the handlebars

If you want a reply from Joel, better send him a mail. He is not active in xbhp lately. But yes, it would be too much for stock RTR160.

I dont want that discussion to continue here. It is already discussed at great lengths there.

My ride is doing fine, touchwood. And there are many RTR owners who have done 30,000+kms on RC kits.(One guys has replied to this thread in Page 2).
If you want to know anything in specific, just PM me.

I dont understand why people dont type my simple name correctly!

Jokes apart, it is not just him, there are many who have done so much on ODO but they are rarely active in xbhp. Also you can read old threads posted by Joel, you will realize how much work he has done on RTRs, Fieros, Karizmas etc. So I have my complete trust in his technical proficiency.

I am trying to be as neutral as possible here. No more discussions on this please
