But personally I'd like it to be a CBU (unless CKD knocks of a lots of money from the price), coz that way there will be less touching and fiddling by Baja mechs.

i dont mind it being a CBU as long as its under 2 lakhs

If its CBU, then it cannot be under 2 lacs. It costs more than 2 lacs on road in Thailand itself. And they are importing it.

But when the bike comes to India, a lot of things (like tax, dealers margin and registeration etc.) will differ from Thighland () But yeah, sub-2 lakhs wills be highly unlikely !!

Unless rupee suddenly becomes much stronger vis-a-vis the thai currency (whatever that is !!! )
Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

          • Unicorn won't be replaced most probably. However, Honda is soon coming out with CBF150. It will be Honda's first motorcycle in India to feature its awesome PGM-FI.

                • There is a pic of the half faired bike in Bike Indianext to the cover page with someone astride it. All these if launched should give tough competition to the current leaders.

                  • Honda CBF150 PGM-Fi..??

                    Original Source: Bike India

The other two-wheeler on the cards is a sporty variant based on the Unicorn platform. In short, the new 150cc bike will be to the Unicorn what the Stunner is to the Shine. Likely to be named the CBF150, (which was also the development code for the Unicorn) the bike will take on the Yamaha FZ16, TVS RTR and other premium offerings in the segment. It will be the first two-wheeler from Honda to incorporate the PGM-FI technology which was seen earlier on the Hero Honda Glamour FI.

Our sources have also confirmed that Honda has been extensively testing a new 120-section rear tyre with MRF. This tyre is likely to make it onto the CBF150.

Expect the bike to be launched a couple of weeks before monsoons.

                    Hmmm... interesting.

Honda uses CBR for its Sports bikes like Yamaha has the "YZF" (like in the YZF R15) for its sports bikes..

On the other hand, CBF means street bikes for Honda.

                          • As the news itself suggests that it will be something on the same line as that of stunner, so what all we can except is a sporty looking 150 with a little more power on tap, but the main differentior here could be PGM-Fi.

And one thing for sure it wont be amining at R15 squarely, but FZ 16 could surely be in sight, when launched this may lock horn with FZ in premium 150 segment (R15 is super premium 150).

This may be an OT; still...

why hasnt the suzuki's GS-150R making any waves ??

Going by the Specs..i guess it should give a decent run for the money for RTRs, CBFs, and FZs..
