Yeah. Lets all hold onto our horses here. Lets just not take off into a world of speculation! Hope Honda hits the nail on its head with this if it has any chance of taking away the premium or sub-premium 150cc segment by storm. Hoping to see a good product(yet another durable) from Honda. Wish the pricing would be easy on the average Indian wallet!
    Cheers!

    • Honda's new 150cc

Guys finally honda will launch an bike equipped with FI.This bike is going to be an 150cc and will be offered along with unicorn. Here is much more information

      New two-wheelers from Honda

You have already read about Honda’s plans to get the Fireblade and the CB1000R to India by the end of February this year. But what you haven’t heard yet is their plan to launch two new mass production vehicles. The first bike is a new generation Activa scooter. Speculated to be a local version of the Honda Lead which is sold in other Asian countries, the bike will use a retuned powerplant from the Aviator. A tweaked variomatic gearbox from the current Activa will find its way into the new scooter as well. Honda also plans to have a variant, christened the Activa Deluxe, which will boast additional features like a front disc brake assembly, cast alloys, etc. The scooter is expected to go on sale by late March or early April 2009 and will be priced in the same bracket as the current Activa with the Deluxe variant dearer by Rs 3,000.

The other two-wheeler on the cards is a sporty variant based on the Unicorn platform. In short, the new 150cc bike will be to the Unicorn what the Stunner is to the Shine. Likely to be named the CBF150, (which was also the development code for the Unicorn) the bike will take on the Yamaha FZ16, TVS RTR and other premium offerings in the segment. It will be the first two-wheeler from Honda to incorporate the PGM-FI technology which was seen earlier on the Hero Honda Glamour FI. Our sources have also confirmed that Honda has been extensively testing a new 120-section rear tyre with MRF. This tyre is likely to make it onto the CBF150. Expect the bike to be launched a couple of weeks before monsoons.

Actually another thread on the same topic exists: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/desi-bik...50-pgm-fi.html

Moreover, this article is a speculation from Bike India (there has been quite a few speculations from BikeIndia) and not a confirmed press release from HMSI..

Its true that Honda is coming out with a sporty CBF150 with PGM-FI. So let it see the light of the day first!! It will be a different bike and not a sporty Unicorn, alright! Just hold ur horses before giving expert comments...it will be much more than a commuter, as it is also confirmed that Honda is testing a 120 section rear with MRF, so hold...
It seems that ya are an ardent Honda fan,but it is democracy that we should always expect better and a constructive crticism always helps out.India had too much of triple sh*t products from most manufacturers till recently. They made us hold on to our 15 year old 2strokes.Now the bikes that are outdated in Brazil,Malaysia and Thailand are making their way to India. Our RTR,Pulsars had shown what are Indian's true choices. It sent Yamaha back to board to chalk out R15 and FZ16,Yamaha finalised them after 2 expos. But both HH and Honda did not show us anything that promises and it is well expected that they are going to injected a bit here and bulk-up a couple there............thats all....................sorry my friend its not ALRIGHT...............somethings not right..........

I want justice for Karizma and Unicorn's descendant.

                            New TVS bike

                            will be a 180cc.
                            Initial versions only carb.
Design wise, will be similar to the rtr ( maybe wrong )
shares its engine components with a very unlikely vehicle form the TVS stable.

                            cheers,

Damn,I certainly hope not. Then they have a little chance to stave off the competition
Did they also mention about probable launch dates?
