But white does look good on that race track and the way the ad is shot. you cant really say how will it look on Indian roads.

One morething it will be a great commuter bike not a racing bike. There is one and only one ninja 250. If its launched thats the only racing bike in lower cc (given the fact yamaha will never launch R125).

I am waiting for ninja nothing else can satisfy me.
Dude the RTR fi beats the crap out of a p180 ,the 180 has only p200 as competition.

You consider a 15 Ps bike as a racing bike .

            • @ Anupam Srivastava- Hold on! The bike is just been seen in an ad. Let it be launched! And then we'll see who's the daddy.

Awesome ad!! Man I'm impressed. Kudos to T.V.S. Plus the SBK'esque powersliding into corners, sparks flying while cornering.... droolworthy stuff. Also liked that part: "Why do I race? Its hard to say. The world thinks I chose the machine. The truth is............. it chose me!"

But are there any chassis changes? Or just the engine and the 120 section tire?
              You get the point?? :D

              • can some one please put the actual specs ( Torque , Weight , Bhp )???

r ther any chances that rtr 180 being almost same weight as the rtr 160 , then I say it can literally pose some tough challenge to R15 .. ( sporty spirit )

                  Dear Anupam

P 180 is 144Kgs; RTR 180 will be minimum 5 kgs lesser ... Add to it Rear Disc Standard; Clip ons a; Rearset ergo; wider rear tire;and a Bhp/ Ps more... u obviously need to b more accomodative... And price will not be so high compared to P180 is wat my friend told me. thast the only part they havent revealed.. await a shocker!!!!

If only a 250cc satiates u then u r N250; is only yur answer. But RTR not a racing bike just a commuter is yur bias nothing else. its the more spine numbing ergo set up on any bike in the country my friend.

                  • i'm not sure on this but i saw tht the tacho is redlined at 10000 now...????is it right????

and wats the size of the rear tyre???is it 110/80 or 120/80...

and is it carbed or the FI????????

and RTR FI 160 beats the hell otta pulsar 180 and even proves a threat for the 200 as well....

the RTR 180 will beat the pants off both the p180 and p200 no doubt in tht....

                    • I think the senior and more understanding members should just ignore the posts made by newbies and continue with the discussion. Leave it to the mods to do what's appropriate.
Comparison and analogy like what Mr.Anupam wisely did will lead to nothing but more complications.

                        • Watching the ad closely I noticed that the RTR 180 redlines at 9000rpm.

Anyways, as I said earlier in one of my last post, TVS is doing a great job by concentrating on one bike at a time and making it as flawless as possible.

Moreover, I personally feel some members are overreacting about its power figures! Let's not make a big deal out of why its not 18bhp. what is more important is how much of it get used in the real world! I am eagerly looking forward to this bike and especially its FI version.

                            • Yeah 17.3 ps is ok.. IMO nothing much different from the RTR160. Of course I have not yet read the reviews. I just fear to see the day TVS goes the Bajaj way launching RTR200 and RTR220 with only 1ps or so difference between the bikes. I believe the RTR series of bikes should be more differentiable from each other - this is where Bajaj went wrong with the Pulsar series and is the reason why the Pulsar brand got diluted. IMO 20cc is just too less of a difference.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

Well, since the stroke of the RTR180 is same as the Apache 150, it is not a short stroke engine. So I dont think it is gonna revv as crazily as the RTR160.
