War
R15 & RTR 180..i am sure the RX & the Shogun era is coming back although in a different format..at the end no matter which bike wins it will always push the other bike for its next set of evolution & happiest lot will be the riders.

I Believe firmly that the pics posted here are of that the same RTR 180....
There are some differences visible in the bike - and sure its gonna be the same model to be released and not a prototype......
* - Bigger RTR Stickers in the Spoilers
* - Black Matt finished Handle bars
* - While Lid Tacho Console
* - Visible Yellow colored Spark Plug ...not sure is this is the part of PKT
* - Wider Rear Tyres
* - Standard RD
Well if its the final model to be relased ---- then yes we all are disapointed......

I agree, there is a very good chance this may be the final (or close to the final) bike. With so many expectations and rumours doing the hype, it would be a disappointment from a features perspective. But based on Joel's words, the performance should make up for it.Originally posted by Thunder View PostI Believe firmly that the pics posted here are of that the same RTR 180....

Alright you keyboard warriors.. i'm cleaning up this thread right now. I'm irritated because it's not like we are sitting around waiting for you guys to blow up a non-issue and spiral it into a personal attack on each other.
Praful: When you reported it, why did you have to reply in return? You couldn't let a moderator clean up the thread could you? You have been in umpteen number of such confrontations, so you should know better than to extend the issue. I'm sorry to say this, but the next time you are found indulging in some sort of brand/bike war, you will face an infraction.
To the rest, Joel, santa.. this is not a good way to start a working day.. Play along guys. It's not that hard.
Will be cleaning up the thread now."Tough times never last, but tough people do." - Robert Schuller

@joel................yes RTR is always more efficient than ZMA coz ZMA is 225cc and RTRis 160cc............but will this be the same with our 180cc ??????? Also I dont understand so much of RPM maths.But my only opinion is engine heat during touring it is evident from RTR160carb.From my experience......On a trip on RTR I always had to ride fast instead of cruising to feel comfortable and to lower engine heat by more air inflow.Originally posted by Joel View PostOk now lets get to this matter.
I beg to differ coz I have done my share of long rides on my Stock Group D spec RTR and in the modified trim.
The RTR160 does 100kmph at a tacho indicated 7600rpm but true is 8000rpm(coz the speedo has an error rate). Any Indian bike does around 7000rpm. The R15 although really tall geared still does 7100rpm(speedo figures, not true). The RTR revs till 10000rpm and does a true 125kmph. An R15 can also rev till 10000rpm and does a true 130 odd.
In anycase, the RTR is just revving a few hundreds more and not thousands of rpm more.
And about the fuel efficiency part, I'm a guy who keeps a close eye on fuel economy of any car/bike i use. So i have the details.
In my Group D stock spec set-up, during long rides with speeds above 100 mostly, it returned me a good 41-43kmpl. This is better than most indian bikes at that speed. A Zma will dip to 28-30kmpl.
On my modified set-up, during my last week's ride to CBE it returned me a surprising 42kmpl and the bike was short geared. Was running a short final gearing and wheel size coz it was meant for the Kari Tracks' tight corners. Now this time, the engine had a bigger carb, freeflow, high comp and other works. It was more fuel efficient than sajiv/karthiks R15 and samyaza's p220 during the ride for the speeds I was doing. I was topping some 140 on the speedo with the tacho hitting 11k.
Isnt this more fuel efficient than a karizma?

I just hate the big RTR stickers on the sides... looks amateurish.Originally posted by Thunder View PostI Believe firmly that the pics posted here are of that the same RTR 180....
