Do you think guys TVS is that stupid that they would introduce such cheap decals on thier High end products???I think all expectations will remain expectations untill it is launched the so called Menace.

Folks, I happned to talk to a TVS service centre mechanic in here in Bangalore and he told me that lately two of his colleagues went to the TVS factory and the inputs that he had got from them were that look wise 180cc is like RTR 160cc with some graphic changes and some other visual touch-ups. The words that he used were "Apart from the engine and the graphic/sticker text difference from 160 to 180, its essentially the same as RTR 160cc".

He may be bluffing abt RTR 180 but again what if its true ?

Ok now about the 180cc thingy. WE have already tried our 180cc converted RTR on the highway and track and the fuel efficiency is the same as the RTR 160.
With TVS optimising the fuelling further, it will be even better.

Seems like the 'tragic' wand has played havoc on this thread.

I did play a silent spectator in this thread and all i have come to the conclusion that people need to be sensible while posting and even the moderators need to be rational while acting up at the situation.My post might seem inappropriate to concerned but still should be looked upon with a positive frame of mind.

Warning(s) should be given prior to any action which would compel the poster to refrain from posting in similar fashion which i fear has not happened this time.Also if posts implying sex toys are not shown the door which are still adoring the thread means something seriously has gone wrong in this thread.A person confronts only when he is personally attacked and this has actually happened in two instances in this thread and i think it's really unfair for a person who has received it is bearing the brunt.

One warning is not enough for an individual.It would have been a more fairer play when only a single post warning all the posters involved could have solved the situation.If someone judges a thread flow, he has to be as neutral as he can get and deal with the situation which i again fear has not happened this time!!

PS:I dont' have personal grudges with anyone and my post should be taken as an eye-opener and which i believe should improve the integrity of the forum.

@Manan: Since you were the starter of this thread, we all would love to get some more information about the Menace from you, if possible. Fifty five pages of discussion have yielded technically ABSOLUTELY nothing.

I really don't see any point in continuing this discussion, but if you want an explanation, then you shall get one. We are not a dictatorship, and are certainly answerable to our members when it comes to matters like taking action against banning a contributing member.

Reasons why the action was taken:

1) I warned people yesterday about starting a brand war, after which 4 out of the 5 people involved in the pre-flaming posts backed out and left it to rest. Only one decided that he had to take it upon himself to deliver his agenda in this thread. Unnecessary.

2) The person in question, rightly reported the post, after which I again warned everyone, and began a cleanup job. I did warn Praful more strictly than the others, because he has been an active participant in more than one such brand/bike war. In those cases, I didn't implicitly warn him, but he should have got the drift and not get dragged into something similar and make things worse for himself.

3) Having reported the post, he should've backed off and let things go, instead of posting in return and fanning the flames once again. What use is reporting a post, and then replying to that post, and making things worse?

4) We moderators are not full time moderators. Most of us have day jobs and juggle moderator duties at the same time, only because we care enough about the forum to do so. Some members, sadly do not understand this, and make life difficult by behaving in this manner. What use is a brand/bike war? Honestly?

Coming to Joel, yes he is outspoken, sometimes uncomfortably so. But he heeded my first warning and left it that.

And why are people having a hard time dealing with the dildo joke? Can you people not take sarcasm??

I'll have the naysayers know that, this particular post of Joel's was reported yesterday morning by another member, and none of us took any action against it because it wasn't necessary. Period.
