With around 18 Ps and a light (say around 135 kgs) and well sorted chassis and a price tag near the FZ-16, the RTR 180 could actually pose some interesting questions..

..and not to mention a carb set up makes the bike mod friendly too.

Id like to ask one thing .. Is biking to u oly about top speed for u guys ?

i see everyone talking oly about it being faster than the current fastest bike.

Is it the oly thing ??

Both are different sort of bikes, One is more into best latest technology and another is giving the best of the tested stuffs for less.

Y do u need to look on only 1 aspect , top speed.

now who cares for technology when its not fast and getting beaten by a bike which barely has some new technology..

top speed and perf is the major consideration than latest tech and gadgetry for all speed freaks out there....bhp more is never enough...

I dont prefer a screaming engine with whatever technology Just for the sake of top whack , where u feel 135 is top speed , u want speed , switch over to the next segment , not just with 20-30 cc upgrades.

rtr is gonna be a good bike in the segment. Total VFM , but its till gonna be another Tvs high vibes engine with hardly any refinement from before.

why do we insist and cry for Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki to launch motorcycles with latest tech when we have people like you who think better top speed makes for a better bike and performance!!!

awe...Yamaha would definitely say that our bike (R15) is worthless even with all this wonderful chassis, suspension, engine and ride quality just because some other bike has a bloody better top speed with less gizmos!!!

R15 is the true evolution in the Indian motorcycle scene, but why would you care. u just want something with better top speed like its never gonna get beaten by some other bike in future

No one says/thinks that a bike is better just because its the fastest. A bike should be good overall. Some aspects are its strong points while others aspects might not be that great. But regarding the RTR and R15, maybe the 180 may smoke it in a drag but maybe not so on the track. Also the price difference comes into play. If you judge them both only on performance then the RTR might come on top, but handling wise the r15 still may be better. FWIW, its a good deal and the tradeoff might be less refinement but some things you gotta live with right?

For some, performance only is the deciding factor, for others the whole overall package with all aspects covered matters, also budget is of prime importance.And lastly, its individual choice.

Ride a R15 above 13X speeds and an RTR there.... the latter will drop your balls off

Still wanting just speed

You can go to some TVS showroom and request them for a look at that bike.
BTW shoroom people told me that a 200+ cc bike is also being developed but it will be launched much later.
