There are several possibilites for this picture.................this might be the bike that was tested by TVS and happily enough it is not the production version at all.
Yes it could be a RTR modded but still there is no point in highlighting 180cc if the engine is 160cc...........people can well understand by its noise and performance.

RTR180 basically is performance at its best,the silencer pipe would be different from RTR160
and moreover RTR180 would have totally new graphic,colour and Dial scheme and not just a carry over from RTR160.I would stick to my point..............this bike might belong to someone from the RTR180 test team or racing team and it is the example of earliest version of RTR180 prior to development for production.

Wow.. this thread has seen some activity in a short time.

Real RTR 180 or not, but this sticker doesn't seem to be a cheap job and seems quite genuine.
By the way where is Mannan, Joel?

i think its a A180 engine on a A160RTR and probably a test bike by tvs.... that too from the earlier stages!! most probably to test the engine, transmission, and other parts etc... i dont think 180 will be such a menace!!! since in the current market, fz16 is the hot cake just because of its looks, to compete with it a good looking bike has to be launched. tvs cant take a risk with this bike. but from this i guess, 180 is just around the corner.
@joel: please shed some light man, its getting dark in here.
i am confident enough, this is not the real 180.

@payeng: i agree that sticker is genuine. i agree even the clocks are genuine but the same looks of a160rtr is not genuine.

If the Stickers and the Dials are genuine then it makes no sense to test a new product with old clothes.. unless its an Old Photo.

New products are always tested before their launch covered with tapes but always with the actual body panels.

i am saying it may be a old photo from during the initial stages of testing for engine and other internal parts!! may be the handle bars are slightly different from 160 and so the sticker is present on this one. same for the clocks to test its functionality. may be the designing of the outer look may have been done later after taking these pictures

ok, the hype here seems to be way too much than needed. Half fairing, projector lamps, etc etc...
All that its intended to do is perform better than its competitors and an offering which is very competitively priced. So at the cost of affording an FZ, you get a 180cc machine which has the potential to beat bikes which are a lot more pricey.
If the RTR180 will be faster than the P220 or R15, thats for later.

@ satyen: i didnt read all that man! that means the bike is just going to be faster and better. but not much different from the current 160. so it's somewhat clears that all are expecting much more than needed. hmmm,,, i can atleast expect some new colors to differentiate from 160's now

AFAIK the Scooty Pep comes in 99 colours or something... So that should not be too much of an effort for TVS...btw what Colours do you want to see... ?
