It may well be the truth but have you test driven the bike or read any reviews to claim the same?

      • Good lord, I should have known that a joke such as that would go over the head of some people's heads.

Listen, no one got fired, no nothing. Companies release such material themselves to generate hype. Yes, deleting the video after enough views is also part of the plan.

I'm deleting the original joke post so that more questions won't follow.

Dude, I am updated on the development of this product on almost all stages and quite frankly I'm not interested in talking anymore about this. There are a lot more things which I have not discussed here coz already I'm doubted. I should have just kept my mouth shut on this thread and let the joke continue. I thought it would be helpful if a few things are put to light coz there were a lot of wrong speculations on this thread, but I was wrong.

Our dear moderator has tagged me as being "outspoken", so that wont be the case again. I'm off this thread for good.

@puneet - I never mentioned anywhere that it will be 18bhp, I only said it was around the same rating as the P200. Bhp and Ps is not the same but most dont get it. Although I knew the exact figures I refrained from posting coz I'm answerable to a few people if I do so. Not that I work for TVS, but still.

                    Cheers,
                    Joel

One final question - From an earlier thread, I read that Honda bikes are great at transmission efficiency. Bajaj Bikes are not so good at transmission. Like P220, delivers some 16 bhp to rear wheel. So, my question is,

Where does TVS stand in Transmission Efficiency, in existing bikes like RTR, RTR Fi, etc.? I mean, in percentage of "power at crank" ...? Thanks in advance ...

Thats a super brilliant question.... how do you wish to measure this? I mean in what format of numbers? oh and you said percentage!

Oh and it would be good if you can shed some light on the figures for other bikes just in case you have it...!

A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Someone in an earlier thread on Xbhp said they visited a Dyno with some bikes, and they ran the bikes on dyno ...

They said that among 5-6 bikes they tested, Honda Unicorn was most efficient with some 12.6 bhp on rear wheel. Karizma was quite good too, figures I can't remember. P220 was average, with only some 16.5 some bhp on rear wheel.

I meant that if, for example, a bike gives 20 bhp on crank & 15 on wheel, it's efficiency is 75%... So, was just asking TVS Bike's efficiency. Well, if anyone knows it, it could only be apne Joel bhaisahab..

yeah i remember it but that was a one-off dyno test and that too quite long back. I think more Dyno tests are need to get some concrete info about this.

Unicorn 12.6BHP !!! from a 13.5 bhp bike !!! U mean 93.4 % of the power is actually put down on the wheel !!! then the best performance upgrade anyone can do is to put the unicorn drivetrain on his/her bike !!

I mean not even R1s and Busas have that much ... ummm ... "transmission efficiency" .....

Not to demean u or anything bro .. but impossible !!

Also ZMAs hv 14 bhp on the wheel according to Bike India mag and P180 12.5 !!
