    Well these don't provide sufficient regulation. You can use them in current regulation mode though. Set the current to 20mA or so. But you need 1 reg for each series leg. (each leg will contain about 5 LEDs as - 5 x 2V = 10V)

    No idea, never been with a H7 too but H7 is not a obsolate model, I hope its available with all reputed brands. Gonna melt the high beam?

    try searching for H4 to H7 convertor mods. THere r mods. But u need a hell of grinding and template job to make it.

    Can an H4 bulb be fit in a H7 socket? They both look alike. I was searching for an 100W H7 but couldnt find it. I reckon u use a 100W H4 from Osram. I can do jugaad for the wiring.

    Yeah, it depends on the LEDs.. cheap LEDs use 2V, 20mA commonly. And I have used 3V, 20mA for white & blue.. Basically a bit of a guswork since we do not get datasheet for these cheap LEDs...

    If we go for LED's with bigger base diameter its current consumption would be more right? So what should be the desired current while calculating the resistor value? Also i somewhere read that white & blue LED's have a drop of 4.5V.

    These electronic components are susceptible to minor voltage & current fluctuations!

    EDIT: Can an H4 bulb be fit in a H7 socket? They both look alike. I was searching for an 100W H7 but couldnt find it. I reckon u use a 100W H4 from Osram. I can do jugaad for the wiring.

    leds glowing without applying the brake, was the problem of the faulty switch like u said...and it was replaced under warranty...

    Ok to clear the confusion, here is what to use -

    5 LEDs in series - 200 Ohms (14V supply, 2V, 20ma)
    4 LEDs in series - 300 Ohms (14V supply, 2V, 20ma)
    3 LEDs in series - 400 Ohms (14V supply, 2V, 20ma)
    2 LEDs in series - 500 Ohms (14V supply, 2V, 20ma)
    1 LED only - 600 Ohms (14V supply, 2V, 20ma)

    This is for RED LEDs only. For white or blue LEDs, use 3-3.5V instead of 2V

    Lower number of LED in series is better because it will make the setup more robust to voltage fluctuations but more tedious as you need to solder more resistors.
