Squealing is a big time issue with a lot of P220 DTS-i 2009edition as I have had this since day one but it has nothing to do with that rusty clip on the rear disc assembly. I noticed all the bikes in 2010 lot with that rusty clip which is not because of the washing. Once in 2 weeks....Use formula1 car wax
Specially for ppl in pune/around vimannagar/yerwada- There is a washing center run by yerwada jail prisonors opp. post office...they charge just 20 bucks to wash the bike and do a neat job as well... i find it quite a deal!!

I have told the guy who was my car to clean my bike twice a week. So 5 days for car and 2 days for bike. I pay 300 per month works out cool, no need for me to wash bike.---------------------

any signs of rusting anyone who has a bike more than a year old and is washed on a regular basis ( say atleast once a week ? )

This is one area where i seriously lag....
may be once in a month or once in 2 months .. ..
i always love rainy season .. the rain god will help in washing my bike ...
whenever i took interest to wash my bike .. the next day itself the rain will come and once again it will get dirty .. it happened me lot of time .. believe me in summer also i felt it

I wash and polish my bike once in two weeks. I use amway car wash and amway silicone glaze polish. As for the rusting issue: at my homeplace i cant blame anything for the rusting

I wash my motorcycle/s myself
They get a wash depending on availability of time and thickness of grime :lol:
Use Amway's Car wash/Polish and a dashboard spray to make the plastics look new,
scrub the tires but do not polish themComment

i dun wash it till its time for servicing!!! those guys wash it and then again a month or so it goes on like that..... i jus keep it clean with a clothLosT in TimE!!!Comment

I wash my bikes using Bosch Aquatak 100
1.I wash them with water.
2.Then With A Mild Shampoo.
3.Then Clean the Tyres using A Detergent.
4.Then Wash It Again Using the High Pressure Bosch Aquatak 100 Cleaner..
5.Dry them for 15 minutes and then wipe the water.
6.15 minutes later I use A 3M Polish and Polish it.
Done

I got some guy to wash my bike everyday. So I do not apply polish anymore..... but its nice and clean everyday so that is nice...
