      I wash my bike whenever it looks dirty. i give it a complete bath.. ie body wash and also dirt on engine(using tooth brush) and tyres i use car shampoo to wash then polish for around half an hour with formula one wax polish and 3M tyre polish. End result is worth spending 2 hours

        I use Amway Car Wash to wash my bike twice a month. If too much mud/dirt comes, I take it for a wash. Generally bi-monthly is my schedule. Sometimes it becomes weekly.

          I wash my bike once in a month during second Saturday. During rainy seasons mostly once in two days. weekly once I just wipe with a wet cloth and then with a dry soft cloth.

          Normally i like keeping my tyres black and shiny I have got a tyre polish for that. and for the rest I use normal bathing sampoo.

          My bike looks stock even after her 6 years. 75K on ODO...

            I wash it once in a month thoroughly and every now and then just wipe it with a semi wet cloth !

            I wash it with a shampoo sachet and pressure wash the whole bike, I wash the tyres by scrubbing them with a brush and detergent soap.

              Myself? Maybe twice a year. That is because Aryan has a look at my R1 and says that it is dirty! Then he washes it! That makes it three times.

              I prefer looking out for a sexy girl in tiny skirts and ask her to wash it for me... Just joking!

                    Bro i hope u are using 'car shampoo' because shampoo v use for bathing if used on bikes can result in colour fading over time .

                      • Hey pulsarites

                        Hey

                        I get my bike washed once in a fortnight, I go to a garage nearby which has the usual pressurized water pump they clean it once and then apply a mixture of oil and diesel on the metal parts and leave it for 5 minutes, they wash it once again with water, then pour a little car/bike shampoo with water in a bucket and wipe it with a cloth all over, then wash it again with water. they let it dry naturally or if i'm in a hurry they use their air pump to blow it dry. all this for rs. 50, after this once i'm home I wipe my bike once and pour a little waxpol liquid onto some waste cloth, scrub the painted parts of my bike really hard and let it dry for about 10 minutes and wipe it off with a dry cloth. And every alternate day I wipe my bike with a dry cloth to get the dust off.

                        Result = showroom finish

                          • Hired a guy to wipe the bike completely with a wet cloth and scrub off all the dirt Everyday. I used to give it a complete HOSE down with shampoo wash till a month ago when I moved to an apartment complex and it wasn't really possible to go down to wash it myself anymore. Every sunday, I do a complete bike ''pedicure'' Apply Formula 1 wax polish, waxpol spray, rub till it shines by itself Then chain clean and chain lube., then F1 tire foam for removing all the dirt from the tire. Looks brand new after that

                            • Sorry for reviving this old thread but i found this thread to be appropriate for my query.

                              We all know that washing our bike can be a tough job especially when there is mud at some places where we cant reach. And at such times we feel that pressure water wash would be helpful. But the people who make pressure water wash charge us nearly Rs.50 (in bangalore). So ultimately i thought of using a water gun for it. Now my query is has anyone used/purchased it?? I have found a few on ebay but wanted to know if it is effective & whether i can get it offline with a demo.
