A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

In fact bright colours are recommended for increase protection. The fact that people stare more at bright colours are proof that it works. Its meant to be visible.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postbest way is ...............not to go for very bright colours............
I have pretty much got used to it and I'm least bothered by stares now. Oh! not when the fairer sex stares. I'm not that cool

i am suggesting that .......get subtle colours.....like black, grey etc......that do not catch unwanted attention and use reflective strips at key places to be more visible........

mmmm...Might make an interesting discussion. The way I see it, people stare no matter what color. Picture this. All over, we have riders with shitrs, t-shirts, some with helmets, some without, some with chappals, all with bare knuckles. And among them is a rider in riding gears. trying to camouflage there is futile, you'll stand out like a sore thumb, no matter what. So one might simply be colourful and be safer. I know cause, contrary to my philosophy, my entire riding gears are black. Choice limited due to size and design/product preference, hence black
. At least they have reflective strips.
BTW your avatar looks pretty colourful

about people who talk to me like I'm a fool, who spent a lot of money on gear, I tell them ( with a big grin)
"see uncle, If you fall from your bike, have an injury and couldn't attend your office for a couple of days then you will lose ..what ..say may be Rs. 200 or 300 only (:P) but I will lose thousands naa...so ...!!)
and then I laugh in his face.
works like a charm and gives immense satisfaction

hmmmnnn...........
thats the safety gear we use at our adventure club for ATV rides. we have ordered for black colour but it arrived in red colour. due to an event we had an urgency.........so accepted.......those govinda like colours
.....red, yellow, black.....

i personally prefer black, so all my personal riding gear is in black color, and my bike too in black. i just love an all black theme.

Are you freaking serious? Damm a**HOL*SOriginally posted by addyrulz01 View PostWell i was fined from the 'bhopal police'' and taken to the police station in their 'qualis' forcefully. All this happened because i was in full riding gear. The explanation given to me was that '' I WAS LOOKING LIKE A CHAIN SNATCHER / TERRORIST '' . The issue was stopped with Rs 500 . I couldn't help it as it was 5 am and i was going for an early morning ride. Now i dont know what to expect even from the police

I agree about the statements in bold... Initially I had a lot of trouble as my peripheral was blocked and the sound... As in my vicinity taxi drivers and other bike riders just get too close for comfort... But gradually I got used to it...Originally posted by rsk11584 View PostThe main reason why riding gears apart from helmet are not considered as NORMAL in india is because of our Culture. I lived in Aurangabad a small city all my childhood, and there in 2006 the Helmet Rule was implemented. Many people were caught for not wearing helmet:
Why people dont wear helmet:
Hair style is spoiled.
Sight is limited only the front view is there
One told when he wears helmet he cant listen to comming vehicles."stay hungry, stay foolish."
To those who have attitude... My middle finger salutes you...!

I ride new P180 with full sporty posture (100% inbuilt feature) & +99.99% get added due to my attitude cum my gloves, jacket, helmet etc.. sometimes it feel very good as people stare at you & mermarizing something in each other ears, but sometime you can judge looking there eyes that they mean nothing but just making fuss of you.. anyway.. i just relaxes & give another pose & buzz off quickly
.... its totaly depend person to person...

The best incident ever happened was.....
1) At a Signal a Rickshawala asking me "BOSS garmi nahi hoti hai kya?"

really funny......
mate.... u have to say him that "u r coming from a race and about your first prize or so..2) At a tyre reparing shop, a guy standing who was getting his car tyre fixed. "Kya race hai kahan pe?" As in he thought that I just came from a race or something, then I had to narrate everything saying that I have been touring and wear the GEAR as a safety precaution, but some how he failed to realize and still had a BIG question mark on his face.
