    ^yup they catch only coz of sound and not the looks. Keep the revs low when u pas a cop. No issues.
    Indian decibel norm is set at 45db. This is exactly double @ around 90db. The dagrex is over 110db. Cops have no decibel meters, they only have their clogged ears to check, so dont worry .

      lol! DK: I know for a fact that you are louder than the exhaust, and when you begin teaching the cop a thing or two in marathi, he will never dread to stop you again! :P

                Nope they wont catch, if you ride sensibly in front of them. At a red light I was once asked by a police man, what all i have done to the bike. But yes, do take care to keep the revs down when in Silent zones like near hospitals, etc.

                  Dude Loud pipes r banned in bombay, so if ur caught tats Rs 500/- for bikes & Rs 1200/- for cars !!!

                    Its even more strict in Bangalore.
                    When you ride or drive a pimped set-up, you need to be careful and cant be reckless and rev it all the way everywhere.
                    World-over no performance exhaust system (which gives good gains and not mere slip-ons) will ever comply to sound norms. A stock R6 with cat and some 2 stages of muffling still makes 90db. Its almost double with a performance pipe.
                    Performance exhausts are always a little compromise with the law, but at the same time with the stock engine there is reasonably no increase in the emission.

                          Joel: Emission vise, the numbers are bigger, but by a very small margin and are way below the max limits. If some one is interested, I could post the PUC certificates, one with stock exhaust and other with the one seen in my avatar pic. The pipe goes in for a chrome plating coming week. Once that is done, my bike is complete, and you know what will follow.
