Its easy to motivate I appreciate, but there is a lot of money to be involved before targets can be achieved. The cost of the bike itself is 3.2L and tuning to next levels is another 1-1.2L atleast to achieve my numbers. In the end, whats the return on investment. All the bikes that I own are stock Ninja beaters. My R15, my 260cc Karizma, my drag RTR and my 200cc Fiero all can beat & match a stock Ninja in every aspect of acceleration and quartermile figures. I'm happy with this much. Having taken these single cylinder engines to next levels have already given me enough kicks.
No funds for a Ninja development.
Sure, but u can do the same thing to a Comet 250.A second hand Kinetic Hyosung Comet wud be available now for around Rs.50,000 easy......which is much more easier on the pocket than the 3.2L Ninja. The machine in its stock form can really do some numbers on a Ninja provided its in the right hands...........God knows what it wud become if it gets ur works. And since u built a Vtwin urself u wud be optimising the Comet better.Once u prove that...........its gonna go for a worldwide coverage. After that things wont stick for sponsors,u may get race team for urself brother !!!!!!

P.S. Pardon me, if I said sumthin too loose,I am always filled with Josh whenever I see ur works. The best part is that u made a Fiero that cannot be seconded.........both Shogun and Fiero occupies a place in my heart

                            • ^MACH - Yes the comet is a good bike, but apart from the thrills of developing there really wont be any financial returns. It will be a dead project. How many here know that I have built a 30bhp 260cc karizma which can kill a Comet in a drag? I have taken part in several races and won against the comets. Not many are interested when you build something fast out of a slow one. You build something with lots of hype, then you get result. Like my R15 build which recieved a lot of attention. The Karizma, comparitively has an underdog image. The Comet is worse and no company back-up or even sourcing parts from abroad is a black magic. To bench-mark and analyse the comet engine, I wanted a head and cylinder gasket and it took me 3 months to source one. Its a different ball-game when you blowing an engine to next levels and I wont do baby stuff like a mere exhaust job or a simple tweek. It will be all-out.
Initially when I started work on my R15 back in spe 2008, even a head gasket and cylinder gasket was not available. We fabricated on our own to complete the build. You need endless supply of parts and now the RTR, R15 and karizma top my list. Thanks to its decent spares supply network. Even if I get a comet for free, I cant do much considering its inefficient spares supply around the world. Hyosung has a very bad repute of after sales support. Even if I slog and build a fast comet, nobody is gonna give a damn about it. It will only be for my own kicks.
I've built the fastest and quickest R15, RTR and karizma in the country, how many have extended support to me? Factory support, financial or race support? Nothing! Thats the state of affairs in India. Tuning has the least priority and racing has the least attention. I hope it grows someday and we can do something about it.
I'd choose the ninja over the comet if I'm given an option. Its a few miles ahead in tech and mod compatability.

@DK - The loudness is around 90db which is much lesser than the daytona exhaust. The note increases only when you reach the power peak rpm. I ride a bike which is much louder and I can still listen to my music, so just keep that volume to the max lol.

1 thing I forgot to ask .do the police catch only because of loud sound.
reason being I am soon gonna shift office to andheri which has a greater density of traffic cops
