i too have been waiting for this for quite some time now...finally i see the initiative.
i have had the privilege of checking out joel's exhaust for r15 and i have to say WOW!
when compared to daytona, it looks better, sounds better, no engine miss-fire(like in daytona at low revs, as if the engine is coughing)
A bike with his exhaust and my bike with daytona exhaust were side by side few weeks back and my daytona exhaust sounded like fart in comparison!
i would definitely want one for my r15.
PM me for Daytona Racing ECU for the R15

Sorry about the delay in responding, was held up with a race schedule. Will reply.

@dreamhorse - There is potential in every engine, however the effort to reap more power will vary from engine to engine.
The unicorn is fairly capable to be pushed. I have built a 195cc unicorn which when we tested was clocking 400mtrs in 15.9secs with an exit speed of around 136kph, stock bike does 20secs @ 105kph. The engine was almost stressed and felt little fragile. However with radical mods, the engine can be pushed but its outside the reach of a normal individual. You will need to redesign a lot of things inside.

                    P135 / Y.Gladiator

                    Hi Joel

                    P135 / Y.Gladiator

Considering the type of engine, of the above two bikes which one do you think is more capable of being modified for performance? Which bike do you think will accept the mods and give the result? Let us know whether you have any product or ideas for the above bikes.

Its my bad luck that I stay very far away from such a perfo genius.Great going Joel, pls help me if I need some advice.Joel is someone who can show the world what he can do with bikes which everyone thinks absurd Losers.Simply awesome.

The Gladiator has decent scope of modifying. I have not seen the P135 and hence will reserve my comments until I sample one.

I have received quite a lot of mails over the last few days, but looking at the responses I can confirm and quote that our biking community is far behind in awareness of performance products and tuning sense.
Most of them want high performance for peanuts and nobody understands that there is a lot that takes to build a package and then there is a lot of cost involved in the development. A performance product is not weighed by the cost of the material and build cost alone, it includes cost of development as well. I have sampled and done various iterations of pipes before the final one is done. The results are evaluated and then improved if needed further. Engine development is another ball-game altogether. Money and parts are flushed down the drain!

4-strokes have a lot of scope to unleash power if tapped rightly, else you will loose over stock. Exhausts which are badly built will retard the overall performance, however you will get some serious psychological gains. A pipe with the wrong tuned length and dimensions will cause damage to the internals and will reduce the overall efficiency as well.

Many wonder why a stock exhaust cant be opened up and turned into a freeflow instead of a full system. Well, the point is that we are trying to keep the right tuned length and that can never give you the right results. Thats the job of an illiterate mechanic who does that for a few hundred rupees and you get some psychological numbers in the bargain and not the right performance.

^^ i agree... and i feel that the price you have put up is justified for the gains one stands to make..

If its exhausts that are being talked about here, I should be able to add to it. Joel did my Fiero and left the exhaust, either stock or slightly tuned for about a 1000 kms. I loved it, that itself made my blood rush. Then he said, i shd change my exhaust. I said, if you feel, the bike shd have it, then it shd have it. He put in his tuned exhaust, and man, what a difference. One has to ride the bike and feel it to really understand what Joel is trying to say in the above post. To tell you the truth, I never really understood what Joel was talking to me about the mods on my bike, till he was done and I rode the bike. The only thing i did, was Trust him.

What ever he is charging, would still not justify the effort, the time, the energy, the sacrifices that this guy has put in, into developing that part, which people like me and others just enjoy.

Some here are talking about fuel efficiency, which is inversely proportional to power. Either you enjoy power and the adrenaline or smile at the efficiency figures you get from your bike. I never even gave a thought to what numbers I would get from my bike which was giving me 52-53, even after running for 50k kms b4 any kind of mods were done. The bike now is a 185cc and gives me an efficiency of 43-44kmpl in city in bumper to bumper/wheel to wheel Hyderabad traffic. I could not have asked for more.

If you love your bike, and want to love it more, trust this guy, he can make it happen. He did it for me.
