You might actually be doing harm to your engine by strictly keeping it under 4500rpm! This is due to the piston ring not sealing properly. Till the engine is warmed up keep it in the range the Manual specifies, once warm open it up every once in a while. The best method is to alternate between short bursts of hard acceleration and deceleration.

There is Not much like riding tips or something. If the bike is fairly new dont over run the RPM's above 4500. Do not or repeatedly rise the throtle, try to crusie in on a normal speed (ex: if travelling at a speed 60km/h maintain that or gradually increase do not lower down & again rise it). FZ maintains well in any speeds. I usually travel in high 80km/h to 100km/h. I am getting 40 city & 46 High way.

I think it cost Rs.1500 for the reflector. But the dam shield is 650 with clamp.

This s kain from chennai. Bought my black FZ on jul 09. Did 4.5K so far.

Do you any of you guys have the misfire problem (a feel like block in the silencer with 'bok bok" sound).

I do have it for past few months not in a regular manner.Complained it to my service people. But they said they cleaned the carburettor.. I couldnt get the relation of carb th misfire..I argued but they don kno wat to do..

If u guys had the prob & solved it, help me pls

i had a mis-firing problem at the start around 700kms...the bike was mis-firing ...the air filter was blocked and the converter was covered with carbon due to it...i had kept my papers below the seat but soon the bike lost acceleration and then refused to even start....the air filter was cleaned and the converter was rid of all carbon..the rpm was set to much higher for a period of a week...now all the problems are gone....check if u have something blocking the air filter below ur seat....

can you tackle p 150, GS-150-R, Hunk etc with fz on highways ?

These bikes can all tackle highways... but comparing them would maybe keep the standing like this - P150>FZ>GS150R>Hunk. Though the hunk is not a bad bike.. but this would be very close.. and in the top speed stakes, the GS and P150 will/should be faster than the FZ.

GS has an extra cog too, overdrive would be a boon on highways, and the seating is more comfortable than P150.

^^ yup... The P150 has a higher top speed... and acceleration also iirc..
