Yesterday, I found out the lock of my seat doesn't lock. The Orion guys told me, they will need to open up the bike a bit as the cable from the key hole is not engaging the lock properly.
I am reluctant to get that fixed by Orion guys (lot of bad reviews in the r15 thread). Can someone suggest a better ASC in bangalore where I can take my bike.

Hey guys,
Had been to Pacer Yamaha, Infantry Rd today to have a TD of FZ16(which unfortunately I didn't get, my bad). Saw 4 new coloured FZs on display. They were Purple,Yellow,Blue and White. The sales rep told that the colours cost an extra 5000 rupees
making the on-road price Rs 80000/-
The white one was a special edition with Carbon Fibre(imported from Yamaha) inserts above the headlight, on the fuel tank and on the tail section of the bike. It also had an imported handle bar which was much thicker than the stock. Now comes the worse part, this version costs around Rs 94000/-
on road. The pricelist is as follows:
FZ16: Rs 75000/-
White colour: Rs 5000/-
Carbon fibre on headlight assembly, tail section, fuel tank: Rs 10000/-
Handle bar: Rs 4000/-
Net total: Rs 94000/-
I am attaching the pics i clicked.

Hmmm... Colors look lovely! No doubt. And thanks for those pics and the news!
But I somehow get an impression that if this move is done by Yamaha, it will kill the FZ's USP(fantastic naked bike look) by making it stereotypical with the rest of the new bikes in the country. Personal opinion though... And 94k is way overboard comparing the lack of few essentials over its competitors for its initial price!
P.S: I still love its looks! Killer looks!
Cheers!

Guys, I remember the days when the V1 P150 and 180 was released. The butch styling was like no other on the road and the bike felt so muscular even standing still.
Circa 2008, we have Yamaha launching the FZ16 with rave reviews all around, especially for the brute bike styling. Now, looking at the way FZ is selling, it might soon go the pulsar way. It is becoming way too common nowadays, good for Yamaha though. Now, Yamaha will have it's task cut out to launch an upgrade once when people get tired of the FZs looks. An FZ with a 250 twin anyone?
