@thunder... the tyres being of lower profile are lighter... effort has been made to reduce the overall weight of the bike... so a 153 mill pulling it won't be an issue...

If yamaha is reading this thread(which i am sure they are), what would they take as feedback.

We as consumers should be clear in what we want for the money we are willing to spend. We can't expect the moon after spending reasonable amount of money. I feel for 75000, what we get in the fz16 is reasonable.

Hope no one feels offended for my statement above, but I stand by what I said above.
Nobody is complaining about the rear tide width. Just bothered about the profile which is 60. Lower profile tires would affect the ride quality on bad roads.

                Disappointing!!

Lookswise..i wouldnt complain..however yamaha has disappointed yet again on the performance front..!!..150cc engine can surely work a little harder than 14ps.
Dont really know what technology is there on the bike for the pricing..Yamaha would have had a winner had they priced it a little lesser. I am not being cynical but being a yamaha lover..just a little disappointed

The bike surely looks gorgeous to me. I mean, it is probably one of the (if not THE) best looking naked to have graced India.. And another first would be that digital tacho!!

Now, let's wait for the actual tests before we go on ranting about the "150cc mill". That specified top-speed (132 km/hr.) seems absolutely magnificient for "just" a 150cc mill..!! I love the FZ16 already (way better than the R15, although both are different leagues..)

Just had a look at the bike in flesh (Black), and it does indeed looks awesome....it's a bit small though and speedo is way too jazzy & tiny...but overall the bike looks class apart. The tank is steel inside with scoops that can be easily replaced in case of any accidents....I like it. I would have bought it if it was more powerful or if I hadn't bought my Unicorn six months ago. I think I will wait for Ninja to see if it is below 2L to actually buy it.

Also, give the specs, I think the bike must be less than 70 k on road, may be less than 65 K on road. It doesn't have anything exciting to offer -- no great specs, and no FI - I still think RTR or RTR FI would be better if someone is interested at this point!

17bhp is not possible as it would kill R15 (even though R15 is entirely on a different level with all the technology)

Yeah But indeed FZ is named as a Street Bike - and a Torque Master
SO Talking about Max Speed in it is not sensible

yes R-1-5 is made for Greater Top End and mentioning FZ will also give the same TOp end doesnt seems to be Acceptable

But let us see - since it is a NON FI - 155cc - less than 14ps

more than 70bucks is a too high priced one
