if you peel off the reflective surface the surface below it would be GREY.
this was the case of my reflector (TVS FIERO F2), however as much as i know the surface of p220's high beam reflector is black from below.

drip kerosene and rub with a cloth vigorously, the reflective surface will come off.

And I shoot this questions to you guys because my console started flashing after meager 5-7 min & I guess others must have used HID's.

Yeah bro even I thought the same & most of the time I drive above 6K RPM & sometimes red-lining it in the course, so I presume that the battery must be charging on a regular basis but still a pair of 35w HID's made my battery almost dead. anything else I can chk?
    Have you put cut-out.

I used Bi-xenon projector with 4300K Hid Bulb. R15 does not support twin HID running together. what i mean to say is.

they would work as long as bike is in motion and RPM is above 4.5K moment it goes down below 4K HID start drainig battery. in matter of 5-6 mins your completely charge battery will go to low.

Here is another issue even tho you make sure RPM is above 4.5K but when engine heats up and fan kick in you will get orange light lit up.

Blame it on chinese Ballast i guess branded ones should not have these problems or we have to upgrade the batteries to higher amps highest we can go for is for 5A witout modification.

    Thanks a ton NANO.

The problem i am facing is i cant get the headlamps converted to DC. BCU is not allowing me to do so. How do i bypass BCU. As for now mechanic has installed an extra switch to on/off bulb on DC.
    PLs help.
now problem i am facing is as soon as i on the switch of the Dc bulb console shows batt drain symbol. This morning did 200km ride and ended up in total batt drain Dunno wats the prob. I think bulb drinks more power than coil is charging it.

After coil rewinding and APE RR unit how do i check if all wiring is perfect and its charging batt. at good rate.
Can someone pls post the charing rate table at different RPM.

And more off I dont want to go for rewinding as a solution to this. Since the stock halogens are of 35W why does a 35W HID drain the battery in a matter of just 5-7 MIN please give me some insight ....

A brief background on the bike. The current electrical system is 12V35W/35W+35W. The feature with the Fazer is that though it had two bulbs independent, at any given point in time only one would work. (The right buld works on low beam and the left bulb works on high beam)To enable both the bulbs I had changed the battery to the R15 battery to support 35+35W.Even after doing that I am not satisfied with the quality of light avaliable especially on the highway at night when its raining and worst is when you have a vehicle coming in the opposite direction with their high beam on.
I was being offered the angel eye with Xenon for a premium of 16K with a 1year warrenty and would have to install an additional battery charger (Rs 500) to cope with draining of the battery, however I do not think it would justify the cause and would just be a pocket ripper.I had gone though the tread and was utterly confused (as I dont know head nor tail of electricals) with what would work best for me. Can you please advice on a viable solution?
Hope to hear from you soon.
    Thanks for looking into this
    Cheers!!
16k for a pair of xenons is a total rip off if it is not from an OEM manufacturer like Philips or Osram....

if you are planning to put in two xenons you will definitely have to go for rewinding and other stuff might also have to install a battery of even higher rating...

another option you can look into is a pair of Osram Night Breakers 12v 55W costs around 1500rs for a pair....

i really like your simple step by step method of explanation, heck you will be a good teacher,do you know that,AND I AM NOT K+JOKIN OR KIDDIN WITH YOU,.

Doc, u got a bloody instinct to find out the root cause/reason at the first hand man. First and foremost quality for a doc is listen carefully the case and u've got it, and am sure that u'll've to go long way and surely u'll succeed in ur pursuit.

Even I was thinking in the same way about our Nano, about his abilities in detailing to its minutest and comprehensive. Hats off to u man and keep up.

Its always been a help for us that u r around here to give a helping hand to others and we never felt that u r just bumping into it unnecessarily.
