Is is from Auto Queen? Lijo once told me about this. Dont know the quality of it, but looks neat as a whole. But how will u fix it on ur FZ? There should be screws for for fixing, but I would say try to fix the assy as it is and try rather spoiling the unit by trial & error.

Dude, in projectors there will be shield for both beams, for low beam shield will be closed and there by half of the opening will be restricted and high beam, the shield will be lifted up but still there will be a opening of 60-70% opening only as the solenoid which pulls the shield sits within the reflector cavity and I think thats the limitation. Ofcourse we can do some alterations to make it bit more open but I've tried it as mine is meant for my car so keeping it at pristine condition.

If its like FXR type, there will be more opening for the high beam as the solenoid is outside of the reflector and there's no limitations in opening to its max but there will also be a limit as per the DOT to make it legal. But this particular model wont come into this range as the FXR series are priced higher say around $300

bi-xenon projector's are projectors that have TWIN beam...that is high and low.

By bi-xenon projector. u mean only projector ? or with a xenon bulb ?

for dual beam i think you can go for a bi-xenon projector...

So i cant use OSRAM NB in projector. Actually i love the looks of the single projector.

Wat will i have to do if i need to install projector and also use two beams.

that was to clarify that projector are mechanical devices and you dont need to attach them with wire i.e. only the light source requires the electrical connection...

this the stuff im talking about...i will have to take the projector out and fix it to my FZ's dome....do you think the projector will have any holes for screw to mount it on my dome?

and about the high beam..As far as remember the high beam dint have any cutoff..it was spread like normal halo...is tht the way its supposed to be?

I always had my mind ready...but only now im actually able to get one!

i thought a projector without a shroud would let the light escape from it and reduce the output quality!...it does not huh?

First of all, its a wrong concept that a HID is a power hungry device than a halogen. But in reality its not, it takes a good amount at the startup but after coming to its full brightness it will return to a 30-35W. Higher watt halogens will consume more than this as it starts from 55W and it stays with it. So imagine if u plan to use 2X55W what could be the load to the battery.

Since u dont want to use HID, ur power requirement will be around 140W where ur current setup will be able to supply a max of 60W. U r not facing any batt issues bcz u r not using any power hungry devices right now. Starter and horns are used very rarely and it can be compansated within the usual running. But once u start using even with 1X 55W things will be different, u will end up with a flat battery withing 10 mins.

Its not that easy to use a higher watt bulbs in Honda machines as it uses the same alternator coils for both charging and lighting. Evenif u've done the coil rewinding, ur lighting will not improve as the increased power will be routed to the battery to an extent but not fully.

So I would recommend to go for DC conversion, so that every thing will be from the battery and the battery will be healthy as long as ur coils are re-wounded to a min of 100W+ . U need to rewind the coils with 19G wire with all poles, go for APE RR, and some wire rerouting with relays to drive the 55W halos.

FYI, there's no projector will use an H4 bulb as the focus is entirely different in an H4 filament positions.

He is using the 55W from AC and that has nothing to do with battery except flashing.

BTW, Xtreme use a 7/9AH battery? but not lower than this

HID is offering 3 times better lumens than a halo, so its a good choice over halos. But being with a bi xenon projector I would say the high beam is not that impressive in high speeds, so u might need an aux lamp to use as addnl high beam spread.

Shrouds are covers for the projectors. Shrouds, also sometimes referred to as bezels. They do however significantly improve the finished look of the retrofit. Without shrouds, the bare projector body as well as all of the work it took to get it installed would be visible. Shrouds also help to block stray light from leaking out of the projector and reflecting off of other parts inside the headlight housing. These days you can find the shrouds and bezels in one set rather than buying two pieces. So its a must for the finish, go for the AE incoporated ones.

Price seems to be ok for the whole kit incl lens+shroud+HID kit+AE kit. Take a wall projection if u can and check for any shadows in high beam, shadow means poor quality.

If u want to use a higher watt halo then only coil rewinding is more than enough.

H4 is a dual beam bulb where projectors cant take an H4 as they use only single beam bulb and the solenoid which makes it dual beam, not the bulb.

Projectors offer a better beam spread than the stock reflectors very precisely.

Thats a good news for me that Projectors dont require electrical supply, so my bosch horn stays.

And yes, My plan is not to lit up both the projectors simultaneously, only one of them will be working at a time. If required, I can add a toggle switch for this setup. But as of now, only one light at a time.

what would be the best HId setup for pulsar220...having 55W stock...unDEr 4k

you dont need electrical supply for the projectors...
you can install the two projectors but make sure that when you are buying them they should be able to fit an h4 bulb in it
to light 2 55w NB's at the same time you might have to change the battery to 7A or higher but if you want to use just one of them at a given point of time your current battery wont be a problem
