ahh... sorry... I forgot the spring when taking the pics... yes, there is a low tension spring which pushes the capsule back when solenoid is not pulling it in... Also, as you can notice in the last pic, the notch for the capsule to slide is slanting... so, it is meant to move the bulb up and down. Today I installed it back without any sort of mods... Let me see if there is any difference...

Update: While riding back home tonight, there was no flickering either in high or low... that too without doing anything to reduce it... I guess the taking apart and putting back did away with whatever misalignment/problem there was.

Puneet1 and navnish these are the user ids...

bi xenon projector is a type of hid with projector only difference is that in bi xenon projectors you get two beams and not a single beam.... go through the thread to know more...

Good to hear that u've'nt spoiled it, somehow u've managed to broke the base screw though.

May be u r right, during transit/ bad road drives, its got mis aligned. Any how u've mastered in tinkering with a HID capsule.

                • Veeral's HID

Veeral got his HID kit from Navnish. It is a 4300k HID Bi-Xenon kit. The pics are posted. There is a doubt about the connections. From the 2nd pic Where do the white and blue wires connect? Also there isn't any provision for connection to make from the HID wiring to the H4 socket on the bike. I suppose these are to be connected some how to the H4 socket. But how? Also is the rectangular box in the mid of the wiring the relay for it?

The white and blue connectors go into the H4 socket... heres how its in mine... I've got the same kit as this... and from Navnish...
What we did is flatten the connectors of these two wires and plug it into the H4 socket, where the bulb terminals go in..., and tape up the whole thing (to avoid any loose connection)....

                      • @Navnish/Lijo/Pavan,

From the pics I couldnt see any relays or any control box either. All I could see a fuse box and wires. The Blue & White wire goes directly to the ballast? And u guys are powering from the puny H4 socket wires without a relay?

                        • @Sajan - I dont have a pic of the whole thing. But if these relays are black box sort of things, I think there is one. Forgetting to take pics is a big problem! hmmm

@pavan - if you a pic of the whole set, please post...

Here is it Black box is the realy..

And the problem i am facing now is whenever i switch on the HID bulb directly goes on high beam. High beam light on console shows it. and it doesnt changes to low beam. behaves weirdly .
                            And one more thing
Its low beam- wen bulb is out
and high beam- when bulb goes IN ?? RIGHT ??
And also i think my bloody mech has done sumthing wrong in wire connections. High is lo. and lo is high (in switches.)

lijok can i pls see ur HId pics in dark ?

                            • I am confused which one is high and which one is low. As i think mech has done ULTA in switches.

Pls check out the video. in the video when i switched off the light and again switched on its directly went on high beam.

                              • @Veeral - you are right about the position, the bulb is outside in low beam and goes in when switching to high beam. As Sajan has mentioned earlier, its the cut out in the glare cap that gives the focussing high beam..
I dont have any real good photos of the light spread in darkness, but check out the last two pics in this album.
And I think you are confused coz of the very little difference in beam distances.... anyway, idenification is - higher spread is low and narrow spread is high. You may need to adjust the dome properly as per required lighting.
