  • Looks like you have taken my words too seriously
    Sorry for that.

Its not that I don't know how to convert a bike to full dc.
I just wanted to know how well you setup is working because I never had a chance to Convert a 100cc bike to full DC.(But I converted many 150cc bikes to full DC)

No bro i am sorry if my words feel you like that , i am just clearing your doubts about what is needed to change to convert from ac to dc .
I know you already stated you converted 150 cc bikes & i think those bikes have pulse generator so you are confused about changes needed in passion , that's why i clearly pointed out 3 steps needed to convert passion form ac to dc & also said if you need photos of nuts which needed to be removed i will post them too .

        Thanks for your support.
The reason for me not trying to experiment with the splendor is because my Dad uses it. Dad owns a splendor and i have a Uni dazzler.
But I wanted to convert it to full DC also,as I converted all the bikes(150cc) in my family and friends so I cant resist converting dads splendor to Full Dc.

So I want to convert it to full dc.

On ebay AC hid are available , but dc would be good i think , for hid you might need to rewind the coil & switch to led bulbs in other accessories .

Ac hid means Xenon bulb operates on Ac but the input still needs to be dc.
AC is better than dc as the polarity changes every second so we get better light and bulb life.

Dc input -> Ballast -> Inverter to convert dc to ac -> Hid Bulb.

Hids taking Dc input and running on Ac are costly because they require an inverter.
Also Note that 99.9% cheap chines kits are fully DC operated.

I don't know about HID internal , check this 55W Bi-Xenon HID Kit Slim Ballast H4-3 5000K 2 Bulbs | eBay there the input mentioned is "AC 12V"

Yea, that's what I am going to do,but the problem is I have lost the puller to remove the magneto so either I have to buy a puller or go to a mechanic.

                        Update:26/12/11
Went to many mechs but no one is willing to remove the magneto for me.

                          Mamu
Puller as in? I'm guessing its something with which you pull out the stator.. You can pull it out without a puller because there are small bumps which are purposely made to grab the stator to pull it out (atleast BAL has)

                          • Yes,A puller is required to pull out the magneto. It is pressure fitted and held by a single nut.

Here is a video showing how to remove it.

Hope this helps, if you need any more help please comment below, and we will try our best to help. Go check out our website www.pitbikeparts.co.uk and view o...

The two Blue wires are for Ac input and the black wire is -ve and white wire is +ve.

                              • Check out this pdf file.

It has a very neat explanation showing the changes which are needed to be carried out on the stator coil.
The bike used is Ktm but the procedure remains he same for many bike having single phase stator.
