what colour man!Originally posted by himanshumm View PostHi Guys,
Finally i have registered myself in the era of sports biking. bought new pulsar 180 2009 (UG4) booked on 13th Dec09 & got Delivered on 14th Dec09, i love its appeal of sporty looks, its really a headturner, its clipon handle bar , split seat, sitting posture, gearing pattern (ommission of toe effort) ultimate pickup (heads-off).. etc.... drive me crazy to blow every one behind my beast... but as it is new piece, Thus I often have to control my senses & restrict my self not more than 42 kmph (always between 30-42) this bike has amazing control & grip on road (thanks to more broader tyre), yesterday only i took a cut (bend it like Beckham) & got surprized for its superb control & balance, it gave me more confidence & its really its increasing day by day.. i dont have much expertise over its techi part but can say its ULTIMATE.. as its mine first experience as i have upgraded myslef from HH passion 100 CC to Bajaj Pulsar 180CC so its a really awesome upgrade... & Feel Good exeprience.. will run this beast for a long drive in this weekend (any suggestion or any points to be take care of... ) post which will post another experience (cant say review) which would be straight from heart...
Thanks to guys supported with there valuable suggestions & comments...Let the Man And The Machine Unite!

is it? i remember, there was a discussion going on regarding this matter on HYD G2G thread probiker was testing jis new ABS on rear discs of ZMA because without it he was saying that rear locks upOriginally posted by HydBiker View PostDrums lock up. Not discs that are properly calibrated to be rear discs. That's the reason they are used.
How many times did you hear about a bike with rear disc brake skidding rear tyre when braked hard? Compare that to the ones on Drums.-------------------------------

What happened to colour it seems that your camera was a B\W.
Which polish you are using or the pictures are when the bike was new.
Put the pictures of Black Phantom here too, I am too curious to see the pictures of it.Originally posted by himanshumm View PostI too purchased black panthom. it gots killer looks.. i even thought to give a name

can we measure engine temp?Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostAny comments on my query,I am waiting still...
..first 2-3 days the engine used to heat like hell ankles cud feel it, friend told me its normal as the bike is new...obviously heat reduced afterwords...yeasterday I rode bike for 20 kms / half an hr in hot sunny day (below 55kph).the thing above engine where spark plugs are present (I think its called cylinder?) was hotter than engine...little unbearable to touch...Its normal na? I dont know...I poured motul 50km back
@abhi check any rubber or plastic part attached to engine melted ?

@Pulsarized
I too heared the "Bell sound", but it only comes during 'Cold starts', and disappears away as soon as engine gets warmed up.
Its called a "Cylinder Head". What you have experienced is normal, the engine gets heated up as it is air cooled.Originally posted by lockhrt999 View Postcan we measure engine temp?

Its not the rubber part culprit here, i found that the Exhaust was smelling like rubber being burnt.
