I ride a Disco 125.. good bike altho i dislike the vibes and clunky gearbox.. have a tank pad on the bike and have done upwards of 10500 kilometers.

the handling is good and so is the performance for a 125cc.. really good bike altho seems a harsh at times.. pretty good for weekend rides too..

Still remember i rolled out on my friends discover from the showroom! the bike was galloping with every twist of throttle in the first gear!
This was back in Jan 05.
                    Positives:
                    Good pickup for a 125
                    Nimble in traffic
                    Decent fuel economy
                    comfortable seating positon
                    Negatives:
                    Engine vibes are harsh
Clunky gearbox, First to second scares me at times!
Primary kick start absent on ks model!
                    Puny looks
                    needs broader seat
                    Needs 5th cog and tacho!

Post 60kmph in 4th, my friends bike seems to like hit a wall recently! The bike has done about 16k kms in about 3.5yrs.any solutions?

Final ride report of my beloved Discover 125 DTSi V1.Had Bought it in 2005.Those of you who have read my article "Discover Love" on the old xbhp will remember how attached I was to it. My father sold it secretly since I had a very serious accident while riding it. He thought it was bad luck for me.Sheesh........I haven't eaten well since she has gone.15 days to be exact.

                        Kms done:15000 approx.
                        Mileage:Around 64.
                        Max speed done till date:107kmph.
Longest Distance covered in a day:70 km without stopping done at 70-90 all the way.
                        Pros:
Powerful engine.Useful torque all the way.The bike could pull effortlessly from 10kmph in 4th gear.Used to give a hard time to the Unicorn and the CBZ. Throttle response is better than the Gladiator.
Practical:Comfy seat. The headlight is powerful. The ES hadn't gone wrong ever. The space behind the visor can hold a book or two.
Sound:Classic bajaj grunt. Hearing the Discover in the rain after a cold start is the most pleasurable sensation. The metallic dhuk-dhuk used to steal my heart.
Mileage: Gave 50-65 throughout. No matter what speeds I did.
Handling: The flickabilty in traffic is awesome. However I couldn't push her confidently around corners like I am able to do with the Gladiator.

                        Cons:
                        Badly needs a fifth gear.
                        Tachometer missing.
Seat must be lowered a bit to better accommodate the rider. I have been thrown out of the seat sometimes while riding over potholes.
With this much power, disc brakes are needed.

And finally here's a pic of my 'lost' first love.

check in the manual about the oil grade recommended for the bike. It would either be 20W40 or 20W50. Pulsars have 20W50. My unicorn needs 20W40 as recommended by the manual. As long as u follow these, u can then look at the various brands in the market.

                              Correction, its only the P 180/200/200 that need 20W50. The P 150 needs a 20W40.
