castrol power1 and petronas sprinta 4000 are also good oil's to use on the discover. Does anyone here do a lot of touring on the discover? I have a D135 and the seat gets really uncomfortable after 70-80 km's. Any seat modifications possible?

      1:I Stick To SS Oil
2:No Once I Have To Ride Chennai To Pondycherry The Total Km I Covered Aprox 220 Km, But I Feel D135 Is Better Stay In City Not Suitable For Highways
3:Yes Me To But Roaming Around In & Around City Won't Need To Past 80kmph

Couldn't have agreed more with you! Its actually quite a pain on the highway! Especially for the thighs & feet. Have had no issues with the back though!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Yesterday, I completed 25,000 Km on my D125. She has served me well for close to 4 years and since I am getting transferred to Chennai, I am leaving her in the hands of my brother. I feel quiet sad about missing her.

            Here it is

            Hi Guys!
My Discover 135cc ownership report. Still using the service center oil and the stock spark plugs.i have done 15.5k km till date on the bike and now i think i can safely make an opinion about the bike

            Reliability:
The bike is good, but in between throttle cable got cut(see 1-2 pages back) No loss of power, no any harsh sound from the engine, got some tappet sound near silencer when bought after that it vanished in 3rd service, after that touchwood!!

            GearshiftElectrical:
No other problems till date, not even changed the bulbs(entire thing). The Battary not supporting after market horns

            Mileage:
Fluctuates between 48 to 52 kmpl depending on my riding till now .

            Handling:
A very good handler. Though a commuter need good rubber to stick on monsoon times(check with the pics below)

            Brakes:
Front is spongy but not too good . The rear is asusul drum brake nothing new to say. changed disc pads two times, after the second disc pad change front braking is better than previous pad

            Ride:
I like this part that comfy seat which had no complaints from my Dad, Mom, Grandma,my cousin bro even my cousin sis, It's easy to maneuver in city but in high way is average no problem with suspension(both), rear stiff suspension is easy to ride in city were many potholes are dugup. Max speed reached 110 kmph.

            Final impression:
A very good handler in & around city but not good drive in highways.

            Kms done:15.5k
            Mileage:Highest 56 ,lowest 44.
Max speed done till date:110 kmph.
Longest Distance covered in a day:220 km .two stops two & fro(for piss break). speed range 70-80 kmph
            Pros:
Powerful engine.Useful torque all the way. Smoked Few 220,200 even Zma in Traffic.Throttle response is better than 125cc bikes.
Practical:Comfy seat. The headlight is powerful. When i start the bike boy o boy she respond too good.
            Sound:Classic bajaj grunt. Nothing much
Handling: The flickabilty in traffic is awesome. With better rubber this one is the second winner after unicorn
            Cons:
            Badly needs a fifth gear.
            Engine kill switch missing.
            Disc brake is spongy.
Better fuel knob hard to turn
Better cockpit, dancing fuel needle when braking were fuel filled half tank(cockpit designed by Pricol unit)
            Few Questions
1: Can i change the tires now .(see pics) Is my bike rim support tubeless tyres ? Can i fit same profile tyres or bigger size ?
2: Any disc pads(for better braking) & engine oil recommended ?
3: Is there any way to increase performance close P150cc ?
Ps: Sorry for this late report.I should have given when completed 1 year ,due to 3rd most bad accident not able to post it !

Seems like u have got Eurogrips at the rear !

Change it asap They provide worst grip in wet tarmac and hard braking.

Tyres generally have a tyre wear indicator(TWI). The tread on the imaginary line marked TWI should show some colored lines. If so u have to change your tire.
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

                              Is it a problem

Yesterday i noticed the tachometer that when i get to 40kmph the tacho should show 3k rpm(correct me if i am wrong) but the tacho shows 3.3k rpm, Is it a electrical problem or with engine ?

Any one have this problem with tacho on other bikes ?

Dai. There can be many factors for tat. Ur tyre pressure might be low/Ur air filter might be clogged/ur engine oil might be bad/ur carb might be blocked and finally U might be climbing up an incline

Check all these, then it should be normal.
